normally in Zhuhai airshow, the missiles and bomb stays with the plane
Why you think it is PL-12 and not LD-10?
damn, it is my first time listening to LD10. After I searched on the internet, i found out that they do look the same. Just like the kind of missile that Americans use to kill Radars look like AIM7
thank you for finding a picture that proofs that i am wrong.
我看有人说这是反辐射导弹?我不到啊!
Ld-10’s have stripes on them to identify them, pl-12’s don’t.
Well it’s a model, might not be as detailed as IRL.
that’s true
No, all missiles used in actual combat will not have stripes. These stripes indicate that the missile is a test missile, used to test the separation of the weapon from the pylon or the flight performance of the weapon itself.
The PL-12 live missile has four reflective metal strips (fuze sensors) on the front of its rudders, while the LD-10 does not.
If the JH-7A must have the PL-12, then the F-14 should get AMRAAMs, and the Su-30SM should be equipped with the R-37M.
I don’t think the PL-12 would be helpful for the JH-7A. If maintaining the current RB/SB BR is necessary, a suitable pair of Fox-2s with jam-resistant capabilities, such as the PL-5E2 or PL-8B, would be the most suitable option. In reality, the JH-7A often carries the PL-8B on missions.
The new PL-12s have lost this feature. However given the time scale of things either could have none if it is a model.
I agree with this part.
I will find them out in recent Chang Chun Airshow
