aint that same. all pl5 gets a seeker weak that loving heat things(except crafts) more than others(even the 5e2 get sunlocked when radar locking timely, may just some bug?). infact not that same.

The YJ-81 is the Temu Exocet isnt it?
I thought the devblog was meant to mention that one since it is added into the game at the moment. However, they might be exloring the addition of other AShMs aswell for PLAF as you say
on paper the missile is bigger therefore more explosive but yes it is a reverse engineering of Exocet China has made many versions of the YJ-83, active radar, TV, IR, guidance completed (KD-88 and C-802 AKG)
but I don’t think this is the Temu version of Exocet X)
the exocet is 4.70 m length and the YJ-81/83 is 5.81 m length, with a comparable wingspan and diameter
If the Exocet is added to the game, the two missiles will have roughly the same stats; the Chinese one will have slightly more explosive power

Yes, they should describe the YJ-81 better in the JH-7 devblog, but I have the feeling that with all the new anti-ship missiles they’re adding, those missiles will get their own devblog

Thanks for the thorough explanation! I feel most of the chinese equipment have double the designations per type, so it is difficult to stay on top of it.
I believe that this is not a typo and that we will indeed see the YJ-83K in the game. Although the author of the launch devblog is also human and prone to errors, when it comes to premium vehicles, they review their texts more carefully.
I believe that many players buy premium aircraft because of specific weaponry, and the YJ-83K fits that bill. I think it would be very negative for Gaijin to sell a product that leaves the user feeling cheated.
