HISTORY
The Jelcz 442.32 platform with the Lionfish 30 turret was showcased by ZM Tarnów at MSPO 2025 as part of an advanced multi-layered short-range C-UAS concept. Designed to meet the growing need for protection against unmanned aerial vehicles, loitering munitions and cruise missiles, the multi-tiered system relies on interconnected firing units capable of autonomous operation or networked command-and-control integration. The Lionfish 30-equipped vehicle represents the 30 mm layer of this system. Other proposed elements include 40 mm automatic grenade launchers, 12.7 mm multi-barrel machine-gun modules and 23 mm autocannons, allowing different effectors to be used depending on the type and range of the target.
Mounting the fully stabilized, remote-controlled turret onto the high-mobility Jelcz 442.32 4x4 military truck chassis gives the platform rapid strategic road deployment and all-terrain versatility. The turret is armed with the Leonardo 30mm X-Gun which fires Multi-Fragmentation AirBurst Munitions (MF-ABM), it is fitted with a smart fuse which programming is ensured by a fuse antenna setter installed inside the gun. The turret is guided by modern GOC-1 optoelectronic sight with 3rd-generation thermal imaging, a video tracker, and a laser rangefinder. Together with the turret’s high traverse and elevation rates and two-plane stabilization, this gives the system the ability to rapidly track and engage moving targets.
Despite being presented as a promising candidate for the emerging Polish short-range C-UAS requirement, the Jelcz 442.32 with the Lionfish 30 didn’t ultimately made the cut for the SAN program with the contract instead going to Kongsberg for MCT-30 turrets, most likely destined for the KTO Rosomak.

there are two versions of this optic but the difference is that they’re HD-SDI, no data are available for them
