Depends if its aligning with Gaijin’s data or not. Keep in mind that channel loss for example is adjusted purely based on performance said aircraft can achieve in game.
isnt it like 5% loss right now?
so even if they gave it 0 percent the T/W ratio would be reduced because its missing over 10% of its weight
Idk and I’m just saying how it works in game. Legacy Hornets supposedly have negative channel loss in game but theres no way for me to verify
should be able to bring 3 on the belly and 8 on the wings with twin racks (gbu 49s), I don’t believe it can take AGM 65s on the belly
Hopefully we get 39s/spice on the belly pylons. Wouldn’t have to eat as many countermeasures.
As well as freeing up pylons for spice 1000 if they add it to the loadouts.
yeah I’d be very disappointed if they don’t add them especially since its one of the main upgrades. although seeing how they never gave the jas39c its single belly pylon I having a feeling they won’t with the jas39e in classic gaijin fashion. you know with this being one of the last planes in the Swedish TT you would think they would add all of its capabilities to make it future proof but idk.
In general i hope they add the belly pylons individually.
I love they guy in the comments calling the RBS 15 a drop tank lol XD
Did anyone find sources on if it could cary CM pods on the belly?
Maybe newbie lol
No sources found, and i don’t think it’s practical, the engine is likely going to burn up all the chaff and IR-bands. BOL also uses the wing vortices to spread out the packets effectively.
Maybe possible but no good sources for now
The spreading out is only for the chaff i can imagine. I think the ir bands/flares would be alright. The chaff im iffy about and that would most likely just burn up
Consider you have directed flare dispensers I would imagine it would work just fin shooting them out under the wings.
JAS 39E is still WIP ? it is possible to get AIM120C ?
Im hoping to see major improvements today. Like split belly pylons. Extended trailing edge on wings and rhe flight model updatet. The Proper HMD and voice warning system would be cool aswell
The IR for BOL is not a solid flare but rather a cloud of many small IR “confetti” so to speak, sort of the same as you would imagine chaff to look like. So the risk of the exhaust from the engine at several hundreds of degrees could destroy them before they get the chance of being effective is likely higher than one might think.
Edit:
For those interested this is what BOL IR countermeasures look like in real life:
Here someone made a good post explaining BOL (under the spoiler at the bottom):
If that’s the case then probably, bot BOL tends to be electronically ejected towards the rear.
Everything on DEV server is always WIP so anything is possible unless the Community Managers or DEV’s say something else.
Right. My bad i thought the gripen used the “solid” type flares
