Another Dev server update, did we get a Gripen E? No, we got a Su-30SM2 wow Gaijin.
But still, I have a little bit of hope to get anything for Sweden or the Gripen E.
I am not saying Gripen is incompatible with the weapon. I’ve been one of those saying we needed Gripen E for a competitive option, if we aren’t going to receive the NG.
What I am saying is that Gaijin will model it in the most half baked way possible, then ignore all the reports to improve it as they wont to do in order to focus on bick ticket draws such as the new EFT, which they will make more coin off of. As they have demonstrated consistently.
Sweden had a brief golden age where bug reports were paid attention to, as they could sell the new shiny premiums, but after that point it fell by the wayside and remains there. We can expect the Gripen E to carry none of more exotic compatible ordnance present in game, unless we have enough time to hiss and spit over the absence of the armament. Which we likely won’t.

Of course it will have brimstones, that’s the main selling point of it and it’s easy to add since brimstones are already on the eurofighter. Also 100% the gripen e is coming this update.
There are still a lot of updates left on the dev, and it will get extended again.
The main selling point of Gripen is compatibility with weaponry from all providers. “You choose the weapons, we give you the platform” is the line (beginning with the C). This does not highlight Brimstone being the main selling point of Gripen E. That would be the improved sensor suite, EW suite, and expanded payload capacity. It’s about as sensible to claim compatibility with Brimstone as the main selling point as compatibility with spice is.
There is very little guarantee on them expanding air to ground capacity. We’ve already the weaponry fielded by the Swedish airforce for air to ground in the tree, outside of RBS 15’s latest iteration. Really, if a photo of it with a weapon proved it would be added with said weapon, we could have nigh every piece of armament under the sun added to it.

Hope so, because this update is always one of the biggest updates in the year, what we got is not enough for a major update like this.

The Gripen E’s Targo HMD should be able to show friendly units like the Eurofighter and the Rafale, right?
