The belly ones are likely only limited by physical space, but we still need to prove it to Gaijin.

To be fair, I’m already surprised they’re adding it considering it wasn’t in service until very recently. Everything about it is still in testing, and even the airframe isn’t definitive apparently. I feel pretty lucky to see it already, lmao.

Good start at least. but i think that version is still very early NG (modified JAS39D), look at the wingtips and the tail RWR.
At least it’s from one of the older NGs/Es considering it still has the old wing control surfaces and the smaller EW suite on the vertical stabilizer.

I’m hoping NG comes later to replace the E’s spot in the tech tree when they bump up the E with IRIS-T + Meteor missiles Electric warfare, datalink, etc, and move it up in BR.
Viggen wing is pretty new and only a handful of testbeds used it.
Im not even sure if this render is official. Tried looking for it but only found mentions of someone modifying SAABs proposal.
