you should try opening a bug report saying that their calculations for installed thrust are incorret on the gripen E.
Put the same sources on it, but instead of saying the engine should have X amount of thrust, say that the calculated installed thrust is incorrect because is loosing X% amount of thrust which is unrealistic.
updated
So. For the gripen C the RM12 produces 80.5 kN thrust converted to 8210 (and a bit) kg thrust. In game the model has 8070 kg thrust. 8070/8210×100=98.29 leaving the theoretical “channel loss” to be 1.71%
Taking the gripen E engien the F414 produces 98kN thrust converted to 9993 kg thrust. 9993-1.71% = 9822
Assuming the “channel loss” is the same for both variants (pretty safe to say it is looking at the airframe one could argue it would be even less due to the duct on the spine) that would give the gripen e a thrust under AB of 9822kg
Im not at my pc en so i can not cross reference other “channel loss” percentages from other planes
Please dont report the engine until tomorrow it will get us nowehere
let the dev update
“Static thurst! = installed thurst. Not a bug.”
If you are at your pc can you send a picture of the su30sm engine stat card please i want to do that one just for fun
okay wait a sec
Also feel free to use my calculations and explanations if you want in a bug repport or if one more opens i will comment on it with it
The su has a channel loss of 2.21% so 30% “loss” is out of this world

Isnt the difference something like 19% of thrust?
From what?
If the correct thrust is 9.993kgf and we have 8070kgf, we dont lack 30%, we lack around 19%
Yes sorry my bad
Yeah same response as before. I say we wait for new Gripen E iteration on dev before making new reports.
You know someone did bring up a good point, is any country operating the E with AIM-9Ms? Is that even advertised or mentioned as supported. I’ve only ever seen references to the 9X as far as sidewinders go.
