Was the discussion not about if they will get brimstones? Gaijin adds weapons to balance the vehicle. For example the sky sabre and its camm-er. The comparison was not irrelevant. It indirectly checks if the gripen air to ground capabilities is underwhelming and needs brimstones to get balanced.

But isnt the NG just a technology demonstrator, wich was further developed into the Gripen E/F? Its basically a upgraded Gripen B/D, but it was used to test new features and improvements. That would more fit as an event/premium or squadron vehicle tbh.
