you forgot the
F-84G-21-RE, F-86F-30, F-84F-40, M4A3 76, M19A1, M44, M16, M24, M42, M36, M41A1, and M47, all of which are tech tree vehicles, not even premiums.
For premiums you forgot the F-86F-40 JASDF.

Except these vehicles were in Japanese service. All were used by the JSDF
None of those are captured, most were in service with either the Japanese or Thai military.
Closest to captured among them are the M47 and M36, both having been bought, not captured. They also notably influenced the start of Japanese military development by being used for evaluation in the STA project that later became Japans first domestic MBT.
It’s not at all surprising that vehicles that are exported end up with other countries, considering that is exactly what export means.
As others have pointed out, none of those are captured. Some are from the thai subtree, others are vehicles supplied by the USA to the JSDF and used in service. Not one-off captured aircraft like the american premiums.
All of which were extensively used Post-war by the JSDF.
Aye, and despite them only being trialed, they were both preserved by the Japanese
Copy-paste in Warthunder is copy-paste, regardless of how the nation got the vehicle. That fact that yall wanna add more copy-paste is wild.
Ah, so we should remove F-15s and F-16s from every nation but USA?
world of tanks
We should remove the copy paste F-15s and F-16s.
This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen in the forums. We should also remove all the copy pastes in the Chinese tech tree starting from the Greyhound all the way to the Su-30 and Mig-21
So, if I understand correctly, we should only have 1 F-16, 1 Abrams, 1 T-55 and so on in the game? Each subsequent vehicle after the first one is a copy-paste, and Japan will benefit the most from this, because the Type 10 is the only completely new tank in the game that was created in the 21st century.
So every other F-16 and F-15 that isn’t on the USA tree?
Wouldn’t that be lovely, Warthunder without copy paste. Sadly copy paste is a easy way to add vehicles without putting in every effort, and that’s Gajin’s entire business model - Minimal effort.
So if I understand correctly, you’d class every Sherman in Warthunder as copy paste?
iirc some of the non-American F-16s/15s are different, but yes, Gajin should remove the copy paste F-16/15s.
Technically yes. Every Sherman in the game is a copy of the first Sherman
Technically no, damn near every Sherman has something unique, whether it be different cannon, different armor, different engine, or just entirely new turret/hull layout.
Pardon, but you realize export vehicles are a thing, right?
Look, I get the arguments against copious copy-and-paste, but unfortunately, welcome to the realities of military procurement. As WT continues forward, you’ll see the standardization of vehicles across the TTs. It’s just cold, hard facts. I mean after all, why are you going to waste time, money, and effort developing your own weapons when you can buy proven tech from your allies?
Copy paste is copy paste. There’s other options, it simply takes more effort on Gajin’s end to add them, and Gajin always goes for the easiest option.
Yes, we eventually reach a point where America is the only nation with planes that can compete with America, and we’re almost there, BUT FFS STOP ADDING COPY PASTE WW2 VEHICLES WE DON’T EVEN NEED THEM SLIGHTLY!
Often, not really, if you think about it. Especially at the top tier. Case in point: the massive Japanese attacker gap that will result from the removal of the R2Ys and the addition of the F-2.
The other aspect to consider, for example, with the M44, is that Gaijin modeled one variant that multiple countries in the game operated in service. Wouldn’t it make sense to add them in one go like what they should have done for Royal Sovereign and, to a limited extent, the Italian PzH 2000 (that’s another matter, though)
I take it this is regarding the suggestion? Maybe it is true they’re not needed for some countries, but then again, they help fill out gaps. Plus, there’s always the premium option, which makes it more likely that something domestic will pop up in the TT. Just my two cents though
Giving every nation the exact same vehicle, instead of giving them unique HE launchers was a stupid decision as far as gameplay goes, but a great decision as far as being lazy goes.
There’s no gap to fill, and premium copy paste is just as bad.
Maybe, but at the same time, what 155mm Self-propelled Howitzer could other countries get that fills the same role the M44 does and sits at such a low BR? Not a lot was developed that fills the same criteria the M44 does.
Eh Idk, captured stuff has always seemed like the perfect premium candidate to me. Like sure it’s C&p but there’s often a lot of unique history to the captured stuff see Tiger 131.
