I made a suggestion for a Japanese RATS squad which will likely take a long time for the mods to get to it so I will place a very brief/rough version of it with there APC suggestion to collect some ideas for future SWAT team suggestions.

The RATS which is a specialized armed unit of the Prefectural police part of the Kidōtai (機動隊, Riot Police) system. There job is riot control and crowd suppression, responding to armed or barricaded suspects, providing counter-terrorism support at the prefectural level, securing major public events, and conducting high-risk police operations beyond the capacity of regular patrol officers. Functionally, RATS acts as a hybrid unit: it operates as riot police during incidents of mass disorder, while shifting to a tactical firearms role when confronting armed threats. Although RATS is neither a military force nor Japan’s national counter-terrorism unit (a role held by the Special Assault Team, SAT), it is among the most heavily equipped and capable units within the prefectural police system.
