It’s still missing some of its kit like the GCS-1 iirc

LOL, first time I heard “Japan Bias” since T-2 came out.

Or Hyuga.

Addendum:

Just realized OP using “Japan Bias” term for irony.

Iam still mad at gaijin for not adding a proper f16 to the Thai tree . They could have added the F16emlu or f16 ADF for Thailand but no

I mean, the OCU was perfect. Gaijin fucked with it by giving it AMRAAMs and HMS. It didn’t have it irl. It would’ve been fine at 13.0.

People posted links on the forum from Thailand air force records showing the f16 ADF and the modernized F16(e)mlu in Thailand service but guess what gaijin

Giving the ocu amraams ? , how about they give the F2a hmd and 6 arh missles and move it to 14.0

Never had either…

the hmd was atleast tested in some way(there was a helmet in the general discussion for the f2) but there is not enough evidence rn for the f-2a to actually get it.

The Shimadzu JHMCS or something? We have no source saying it was tested definitively (as in if it worked or not), just that Shimadzu tried to make one. I don’t even think it was tested with the F-2A. The only confirmation of HMD was there was one planned for the Super Kai, but the Super Kai never fell through,

They are really paying a BR toll for the Kikka, Ho-Ri production, R2Y2s and type90s. Also butchered top tier SAM. I know people really hate the type90s just because they have the fastest reload in the game, but if they never bring it down in BR I hope nations like Thailand, South Korea or Indonesia can fill those gaps in BR. The line-ups oddly go out of place with the rest of the nations like 8.0 being 8.3 or 10.7 being 11.7

Speaking from an SB perspective Japan is overpowered in WW2 tiers whether it’s tanks (albeit later on) or aircraft (right from the start).

Other than the J2M2 being a bit low at 3.7 and the Ki-84 being low at 5.0 (like how the Spitfire LF 9 is), the rest don’t really feel too overpowered to me.

If you have an american team of mustangs who do basic co-ordination then people in slow zeros can’t really do anything. A swarm of angry p51Cs that cover each other is terrifying even in the bf109f4 which has some speed to dictate engagements, now consider how terrifying it is with a ~450 km/h top speed.

It’s more the flight models.

The Ki-84 as mentioned on another thread is apparently too fast compared to its actual performance. Off memory the War Thunder Frank is using US fuels which were a much higher quality than what it would’ve actually used. In regards to the LF Mk IX Spitfire its BR is too low but that’s a different conversation. We do desperately need some early Griffon Spitfires so we can push that LF IX up to 5.7.

The J2M3/J2M4 can’t stall (unless something has changed). Yank the stick as hard as you want and it’ll just keep turning.

The A7M2 is another with a highly questionable flight model and the A6M’s do not stiffen at all in a dive which goes completely against reality. Go into a 400mph dive and yank the stick back and observe how the Zero can still pull ridiculously well. In reality the controls of the Zero would be somewhat heavy beyond 300mph to such an extent that some US aircraft could actually out turn them.

The A6M is missing some speed which it needs improving on but in return it needs a more realistic flight model.

It’s not about realism . It’s about balancing . If they can give the T80 thermals and many other balancing stuff to other vehicles , what’s stopping them from doing it to the F2 ? Maybe just release the superkai version at some point

T-80B has drop-in observation thermals which was put on a number of service T-80Bs.
It has nothing to do with balancing, and that’s not a realism topic either.

The fact the F-2 was never tested with HMD or ARHs on those pylons?

Its a paper vehicle. It never made it past that point.

Japan has a quite a few paper vehicles . About the F2 , iam not debating over whether it’s realistic or not ,iam just saying that since gaijin loves throwing the word balance around . They can just give those things to the F2 on the name of balance and increase its br , the br increase would justify all those

Iam quoting this from the F2 Dev blog where someone mentioned this and something about the yak 141 too in the name of balance

Yak-141 and Kikka are not F-2A equivalent vehicles.
A whataboutism false equivalence fallacy is not what you should focus on.

Production aircraft are also best compared with other production aircraft, and it shouldn’t be a “what about”.

This is not meant as an insult toward you. I just want reasoned positions to read.

Paper vehicles are being delisted in the game.
Prototypes [both combat capable and unfinished] are staying.
And of course production vehicles are staying irrelevant of which stage of production the vehicle was in [a slight reference to naval vessels].
