Janpanese bias

As of July 09 2023.
Every match at level 1 or 2.
If against Japan. I lose.
Anyone else gettiing the vibe?

Lots of people grinding the Ho-Ri right now. Probably lots of very experienced players that simply havent played japan a lot so lots of higher skill players in BRs they dont usually play.

The vehicles themselves are average for their BRs at best.

I experienced it as well while playing 5.0 Britain. But I switched to 6.0 Britain and started winning as much as usual.

I’m not kidding go play 7.7 u will slaughter ho ri players for some reason on the left and right frontal sides it has like 2mm of armor one aphe shell and they obliterate

You should play 10.7-11.7 UK.
I have a win-rate around 15% rn, and all games finishes either because Russia spawned 15 CAS (litteraly what happened 1h ago to me), or because the whole team 1 death leave, making it always 5 players against a whole team.

As of now it’s 10 of August 2026, I don’t know if Japan was broken 3 years ago

Lower sure… but in reality, Japan is over-tiered.

Nope, it is because Japan isn’t a nation most people start with, so the majority of them are experienced player who will crush newer player whithout difficulties. I strongly suggest you to go play japan for a bit a see for yourself.

I’ve been playing JPN ground for a good 7 years now, and honestly if you don’t count the TKX(P) at 10.3 or the Type 81 (C) at 10.0, there isn’t much like you say.

Now that was a lineup.

Deleting 2A4 and clueless T-72AV with the 4s DM33 was fun. And the autoloader was so good compared to other reload that you could almost shoot 3 times while some tank reloaded.
And the autoloader bait… Delicious. Best time of my life.

I’ve barely touched the TKX(P) since, because it’s just not really good at 12.0, especially after all the buff to the toptier tanks you can see : Relikt is way better, especially against <500mm apfsds such as the JM-33, every reload but Leopard is under 5.5s, …
My K/D on the TKX(P) is a relic of the past, hahaha.
Something like 65% win rate on 600 battles, k/d of 2.5-3, …

But soem Japan tanks are mostly overtirered since the average player is quiet good (less now, since there are more attractive toptier and toptier premium to grind the minor-nation quickly).
i think that if some tanks from Japan were in major TT such as US, USSR or Germany, the BR would be lower. Maybe the Type 16, Type 74 and the Type 87 RCV. 9.0 for this one is insanely high.

Im a japan main, trust me I know.

100% this. Statred the same a week ago and all the matches were just japan vs the world for a bit and sometimes the enemies got stomped sometimes we got stomped. Roll of the die. But yeah a lot of experienced players are flocking to the ho-ri this month.

Dude… I’ve been playing Japan since 2017; it’s the main nation. The heck are you talking about?

Due to Fear of Missing out.

Those were the good days.

How do you actually use this thing? I don’t have it yet and I only spawn it like twice as the game assign it as random vehicle, two times I feels like a blind bat since it doesn’t even have a radar and one time I got killed by strike drone lol

100% by using your teammate as bait and moving from spawn to the nearest structure for cover. Everything else just checking the air spawn and spamming air radio.

the missile is good, but at 11.7 it is unplayable in my opinion. Same as for the Tan SAM Kai at 12.0, with a k/d that never been over 0.6 since the day it came out.

For me, I use the Type 81 (C) as an active vehicle, going around, capping zone where I know there is no on anymore, because I mainly hate waiting in spawn with SPAA. And as soon as I see a teammate trying to kill one, or I see an enemy CAS in the kill feed, I try to locate it.
Never shoot when the target is further than 7km. Smoke trail will reveal your position and the energy bleed of the missile is gigantic.
As for the Tan-SAM Kai, the radar 7s resolution is impossible to use with IR missiles, and even more on a turret missile carrier. on the 3.5s of the radar doing an half turn (there is 2 ‘radar’ on the turning surface), it makes the IR seeker actually not on target and make you unable to get a proper lock.
So I use the radar to spot, then cut it off then use one of the launchers.

I made this topic a couple week ago.

I also tried that tan sam kai, the launchers keep complaining about not being able to shoot because “omg something in front of me bro I can’t shoot”, now I start appreciating the launcher units that have the projectiles launch straight up, they can fire the missile anytime anywhere

Doesn’t help that they bent the seeker off center so you have to point the missile into the dirt to acquire a target then re elevate the launcher while hoping it holds lock and the target doesn’t LOS you.

Not a big deal. The main thing for me is the wing area coefficient.
For the Type 81 (C) missile, it is 1.2. (in the files).

9M317MA 'Buk-M3', wing area coef of 1.25

CAMM, around 1.025

MIM-72

Type 81 (C) with 1.2 :

It should be around the MIM-72 I think.
What it changes :
Better energy retention in turns, better AoA, and a slighty better range against some targets.
