Why is the Jaguar A/E at 10.7 BR?
Before people rush to claim it is the Magic 1, may I remind you that the Magic 1 is already available to the Mirage IIIC at a much lower BR and on a much better airframe. The Mirage IIIE at the same BR and the F-5C run circles around it. The Jaguar E shares the BR of the J-7D.
In case someone thinks it is a base bomber, it isn’t. It cannot wipe a single base unless you bring no air-to-air armament at all. For such a slow and un-maneuverable aircraft, that is a death sentence.
To add insult to injury, the Jaguar E is even worse. It is heavy and is just barely supersonic. It has horrific maneuverability and loses airspeed extremely quickly if you even think about turning. You only get two missiles. So… what is it? What merits the BR on par with much better aircraft?

The Jaguar A, E and GR1A are all over BRed these days, being “supersonic” with a CM load does make it a bit messy as to where to place them, but 10.3 wouldnt be any issue within the current compression.
I think I would place the A & E at 10.0 given they are Jaguar GR1s with flares which justifies the 0.3 higher BR and then place the GR1A at 10.3 given it has the better engines and RWR (though should get its digital RWR from the Jaguar GR1B which it is all but in name as well). GR1A is also able to make far greater use of the Phimat pod as unlike on the other 3, it does not conflict with its A2A missile placement

I got the Jaguar E from the last crates. I was excited for exactly one minute until i checked what it is and what ordinance it can carry. Heavier jaguar a at the same BR? Check. French tech tree? Check. around 40 € on the marketplace? Check. Looking forward to spade it to get a worse vehicle for my ground lineups before i get the basically same one (but slightly better) in the tech tree ahead of time? With 2 Laserguided agms and 2 good ir missiles but a flightmodel where ur basically dead as soon as a faster fighter sees u and wants u dead? 0.3 BR lower than the mig27K that has a flightmodel that can at least somewhat compete with lots of fighters and has 4 all aspect r60s instead of two good rear aspect ones while being much faster and climbing way better? The Mirage IIIE is almost the same as the IIIC but with flares. Do you think the Jaguar is it’s equal? Who is being disingenuous here? Do you think the Jaguar has a better flight model? How about a radar or radar guided missiles?
Well, that aged pretty well.
At 10.7 in ground you get an event vehicle for france, thats basically the same but still worse than the one in the tech tree, with all its unique loadout options being absolutely useless, the guidance or aiming methods those can and should be using not working, 2 laserguided bombs or 2 Nords and a flight model that won’t allow it to go mach on the deck, 0.3 BR higher than the F5a and F5c with 4 Bullpups, with a flight model that is better in every single regard. Really makes you wonder what this plane would be if it was russian or american, especially considering it was an event plane.
Or the su25-Bm with 2 tv guided certain one hit-kill agms with 10 km range, 4 (or 2 tv guided bombs) if you instead take 2 laserguided agms with also 10 km range, 2 r73s and 2 r60 mks AND a flight model that is still not unable to dogfight a Jaguar especially given that it has r73s at only 0.3 BR higher…and in a pure a2a role…two rear aspect magic 1s vs 2 all aspect irccm r7rs with probably double the range and 2 all aspect r60 mks…make it make sense gaijin…

I have absolutely no idea who is willing to pay 40 bucks for it on the marketplace, unless maybe someone who used to fly it irl? Theres basically the same plane in the tech tree? Not even that, the one in the tech tree is even a bit better? Or is there something i just didnt see that makes the Event Jaguar special?
Ill probably never even spade mine…and thats a bit sad tbh. But also somewhat logical because i really can’t see a way of how spading that thing won’t be an absolute pain in the behind.
And to guess why it has that BR…overperforming french players that consistently get 2 kills per sortie without dying and RTB, because thats all it can do in one sortie??? Im not very good in dogfighting, but ive been holding myself and beaten ridicolous jets like f4es in the su25 so my guess is not even in a unavoidable 1v1 dogfight the jaguar is automatically winning…how would it, just because the su is 150 kph slower? Its a russian cas plane ofc that can still dogfight most enemy jets as soon as they are not at absolute top speed…and even if…2 r73s…
