Serious take: Yeah, thanks to compression, J35 in 10+BR seems to need luck to have a downtier match as being top dog of the match; they are no match against superior planes in uptiers.
Man, I still remember when F-14As were in a lot lower BR and fragging RWRless J35XS anytime, anywhere.
Probably spams chaff in a straight line towards a base and wonders why he still died lmao

The F-4C becomes more maneuveralbe than the draken at 900kph. That said it’s still a bus.
And no, some delta wings like Mig-21bis are okay
The aim-9p demands a hit and run style because aim-9s are slow missiles unlike magics. With the Draken you’re forced to play at a slow speed, essnetially throwing all your advantages away.
At least it doesnt face the mig-23ml
the funny thing is that the ja37c is only good because of its skyflash’s. remove those and its very much a 10.0 plane (correcting myself here). which makes stock grinding such a pain. though if the rb24s were removed and given rb74s ill be fine with a br increase to 11.7, because lets behonest, aim9js at 11.3 is completely worthless.
Yeah, the Viggens dont look to be in a healthy state at all at the moment.

Without the skyflashes it is at minimum an 11.0 plane. Look at the BRs of the F-104Gs, F-4F, or Mig-21s for reference.
well if we compare it to a very simular plane in playstyle, that of a hit and run plane that can get into a knife fight, for one turn, we can look at the t-2 trainer, which has access to aim 9ps, which are the base version of the aim9p3 which is what the rb24j is, now judging from the fact the rb24j have a smoke motor and not smokeless means its very likely a carbon copy of the base aim9p (unless it actually has a different seeker but judging from the fact both missiles go after flairs like rich people do with paying less in taxes do) leads to me believing theyre the same missile.
meaning the difference between a t-2 and rb71less ja37c would be a better radar (which is meaningless), having 6 missiles over the 2 of the t-2 and having a completely worthless gun oh and flares. it would be one of the strongest 9.7s sure, but thats solely because it has access to flares something most jets at this br lack. but it wouldnt break the game being at 9.7
we can ,and we can realize immediately the ja37 gets more of the same missiles, is the same speed or faster, and gets countermeasures. Even a 9J only JA37 ends up much higher than 9.7

this is just wrong btw, we have the in game missile stats and the RB-24J is a carbon copy of the 9J/9P with the only difference between any of them being the 9J can’t be radar slaved
Id go 10.7.
AJS37 is basically the same FM if im not mistaken but with realistically 2x Aim-9Js, 2x Aim-9Ls and 24 flares and 340 chaff and a gunpod.
Probably the only reason its 11.0 is because its supersonic with 9Ls.
Viggen C with 6x Aim-9Js… Its a better J35XS whic his currently 10.3.
But overall that BR is just a compressed mess. So its hard to realistically place anything.

Yeah, but 10.7 with 40? Large flares and 6x Aim-9Js and a usable RWR and very good radar… I think would be about right
one, completely forgot about the 104gs and f4fs, might have to do with how bad/unliked theyre.
and two, the 11.0 mig21 youre talking about is the bis, which gets 6 all aspect missiles, youre thinking of the mig21 with the r60s, at 10.3
but even then youre forgetting one very key important fact, the ja37s, dont really have a gun, the lack of ammo, the poor quality of the radar gun sight means youre gonna waste the majority of that 150 rounds on a single plane. even the gsh23 while having a weak ammo loadout, is much more useful. so ill shall correctly myself and put the rb71less ja37c to 10.0
Did i say 10.7, i just said it loses to a 10.3 in flight performance. Its skyflash and radar are the only thing making it 11.3
Mirage 3E is 10.7
But the J35XS is conning 10.3 at the moment due to having 12 CMs and no RWR.
Viggen C with only 9Js has neither issue, it would curb stomp completely in a downtier if at 10.3, even 10.7 would be generous.

I wasn’t suggesting it be put down in the first place. A Viggen without skyflash isn’t worth playing imo, they could add the A back with only flares but thats for gaijin to decide.
So please don’t assume i want a lower BR Viggen as that wasn’t my point
i was talking about the irl rb24j, the ingame 24j is a copy of the aim9p, when it should be an aim9p-3 which has a new seeker, a new fuse and a smokeless motor.
