Not too mention R-73s, Magic IIs and Aim-9M on very capable air to air platforms well within 1.0 BR range of the Viggen C.
I dont think 9Ls on the Viggen C is all that big of a deal for 11.0. Still probably gunna be below average for that BR bracket in terms of performance. Especially as it will see full uptiers most of the time anyway. Besides. 9Ls are pretty bad these days.

All of then get a maximun of 2 missiles with irccm, and from all of them only the f1c have a performance close to the viggen, but unlike the viggen its semi active missile is can be chaffed, so basically have only two missiles. Not to mention that the the magic 2 is relatively short range, and cab be flared easily at range and in frontal aspect.
It’s really outraging, they made this plane so it’s just fodder to all the front aspect missiles.
It really needs those front or all aspect missiles to counter those pesky Mig-23M

I’m stock, with it, just unlocked the rear aspect RBJ24 or something, the R24R are not easy to lose bruh!

Bruh you need chaff for those and even like this it wasn’t easy. Flares don’t do anything.

You only said “all aspect missile” so you’re forcing me to guess whether you mean radar missiles or all aspect IR missiles. That is why I said you get flares stock (for the IR missiles).

Anw, unlocked the R71 yesterday night and I really enjoy this jet now, it’s really refreshing after the J35XS, very dynamic.
If you fly in multipathing range (below 60m altitute) it becomes significantly easier to break lock from radar missiles, notching can be used as an alternative, but is best coupled with a chaff drop

No not at two different targets, it requires a hard lock until the missile hits its target, then you can change to a different target

Lol lmao even. AIM-9Js are stupidly easily to flare and have a pathetically low burn time. I’d rather take AIM-9Ds and Gs over them any day of the week. Once you’re out of RB 71s you’re stuck with an aircraft having missiles that can be decoyed without virtually no difficulty, has subpar flight performance and cannons that are unpredictable except at near point blank range. Also the Viggen C was at 11.3 for years until the new update. If getting back there involves getting AIM-9Ls then it’s a good move.
