Does someone have knowledge on why BOY401 (the flaredispensers on jaktviggen) is twin drop for the C and techtree DI? The one instance i could find of a supposed viggen firing off flares shows that it drops them individually…
I mean, I don’t think they’re classified, but I’d take a look at the manuals available online. They might have something in them.

So bad news? All documents i could find point toward the Countermeasure system still being classified.
The only info I could glimpse is that they’re like the systems on the Mirage 2000, and that the central screen is missing some info on how many CM’s are left and which countermeasure release program is selected.
Could this be used to argue that all jaktviggens should get the F21 and base D model treatment of single file drops?
PS: with ‘like the systems on the Mirage’ i mean that the release is programmable basically
