JA 37 DI RB-74 Discussion & Future changes

to my understanding the JAS 39A has the same loadout options as the JA 37 DI. there are facts in both videos and documentation that this is true but Gaijin has not made the proper change to the 37 DI show this properly like the use of the RB 74(M)'s this is a major oversight of the dev’s and needs investigation by both the community and historian’s in the forum.

74(M) are overperforming probably, need to be nerfed to IRL state(no smokeless motor) and given to JA-37

hmm i can’t say on that due to the fact i haven’t fired them yet from at jet. the only difference to a standard RB-74 is IRCCM on 74(M) which is a balancing that could bring it up to 13.7 or 14.0 which it does get in matchmaking anyhow given the RB-99’s

in game 74M also gets smokeless motor

The RB74M is an AIM-9M, not AIM-9L/I-1.

A good way to make it 13.3 during decompression.
Its current loadout is fine especially whenever they get around to the next round of decompression where it can stay 13.0 with F-14B, Sea Harrier, and any others.

They have since added the AIM-9L/I-1 to the game, i do not know if they have changed the RB74(M) to reflect that yet though.

Considering that they gave the German Typhoon AIM-9Ms for the smokeless motor, I doubt it.

Well:

and

They at least were in the game at some point so they have the stats for it.

But i do doubt that they changed the RB74(M) to the AIM-9L/I-1 characteristics.

The German Typhoon still having AIM-9L/I-1s is irrelevant. The only relevant thing is that it was given AIM-9Ms.

What do you mean?
you said:

Which is true for in-game but not IRL, IRL its the other way around, but they used the 9M because the 9L/I-1 was not in game yet, now it is in game so the RB74(M) should be changed to AIM-9L/I-1 characteristics.

My point was that the RB74M probably won’t be changed to the AIM-9L/I-1 because Gaijin gave Germany the AIM-9M for the sole purpose of giving Germany an IR missile with a smokeless motor. Taking away the smokeless motor of the RB74M would completely contradict this.

True. Was not clear in your first post though :)

There was a fairy whose name was Nuff. Fairy Nuff.

umm hate to judge but that has already a thing. the gripen A has them

Are you saying that the JAS39A already has AIM-9L/I-1s?

the RB-74(M)'s yes the AIM-9 M’s with IRCCM

Do they not have smokeless motors?

for that i can’t say but i’m sure someone can confirm if its smokeless or not

If it’s smokeless, it’s the AIM-9M.
