better talks of “only able to kill VB.10’s or Twin engine fighters that are not P-38’s or XP-50”
Any mono-engine fighters are doing better than it,… XP-55 included.

you also have to understand that players using FRC in RB (let alone Arcade that i don’t play anymore) is like asking to play on twice the difficulty.
I do agree: it acts a bit better under FRC (not extraordinary better like you told us about,…)
But it also makes you in risks of stalls, flat-spin, and other things that any other mono-engine fighter in this gamemode (RB) don’t have to experience while doing better with mouse aim,…
What needs J7W is more nose authority
not much, but like 3° to 5° more in mouse aim control.
such Nose authority buff would make the aircraft coming from a “Dark Night” to a “Full Moon Night” making it viable to play in RB gamemode
the explaination for it is simple: the center of gravity is rear-ward on the aircraft,…
Engine / Wing structure / Fuel, all is in the rear side of the aircraft
the propeller itself is in full metal (so at minimum full aluminium,… for such a large piece)
and even if 4x30mm gun and ammo are in the front, those are not going to shift the balance to 50/50.
Weaponnary weight: 4x70kg(gun) + 240x0.345kg(ammo) = 362kg
Aircraft weight+fuel: 4870kg
Engine weight: 980kg (without propeller)
In air to air J7W1 is 50/50 but in the ground realistic battle it’s a monster.

Unless there is no fighters and spaa, J7W1 is horrible in low-alt dogfight
I killed 4 spaa in that battle(mostly ostwind2)
Ah, Ostwind is the easiest one. Is there any Shrink/Kolian/Cold war spaas?
Much less than ostwinds.
I came here because im actually performin better on the Ta-152 C-3, J7W1 is actually just complete ass in air battles.😭
Only Gaijin will believe it is good XD
It once took out a 164ft giant atomic-breathing lizard by kamikazing into its mouth ¯_(ツ)_/¯

it’s an amazing aircraft
the climb rate is good, point 15º/20º up.
maneuverability is amazing while u’re going fast, which isn’t too hard with the Shinden’s engine.
4x30mm cannons is insane, especially cuz this 30mm cannons can actually bring APHE to pulverize any aircraft, and the muzzle velocity looks ok for me, i would even say it has good muzzle velocity, i don’t struggle too much aiming with them.
the fact it’s at 6.0 is crazy, it performs well even in uptiers against 7.0 jets.
it is good.
curiously that are some of the main preys i kill in the Shinden, there’s just so much of them lmao.
You might try the B7A2, Ki-44 II or the A7M2😉
Nevertheless i am always happy to see when players enjoy subpar aircraft - having fun when playing wt is essential, everything else makes no sense.
If you play Air RB with “gung ho / all in” approach - and your enemies are dumb enough to commit to head-ons: Fine, you get kills but you die in in most of your matches.
If you play Air RB with a more methodical approach (top down, focus on prime targets) the J7W1 is from my pov unable to create positional advantages and has to wait for basic mistakes / noob pilots - otherwise they are just food if played by a solo player.
From an objective pov your anecdotal evidence & assessment has the same value than those of the majority of players in this thread - which are far less enthusiastic.
In case you are a fan of investing millions of SL in loot boxes - look for the next round when the Ki-94 is a prize. Even using a joystick in Air RB this thing is a brick - i even stopped playing it cause the 30mm are just producing hits, no matter which belt 😂
All this sounds a bit like a skill issue from ur part.

So u have a skill issue???
I mean, i have proven the J7W1 is good and how to play it properly.
Ofc, whatever you say man👍😂
I don’t want to judge too much, but K/D 2 is not good, to be honest. If you believe J7W1 is a good plane, then these are pretty OP
i had a match with 8 kills in the french AD-4, btw.
it was one of my first matches on it, so it was in stock.
