J35xs really doesnt deserve to be at 11.3 by a long shot.
The J35XS dogfights better than the J37C with vastly better energy retention currently.
J37C is hard to compare to others cause all Phantoms fly better than it.
j35xs dogfight capability is limited to 1 turn only, j37c also turn 1 time and runs out of energy. Just because it turns better doesnt overcome the technological limitations. J37C is vastly superior to j35xs in every regard.

J35XS has a 0.42 oswalds efficiency number, it has one of the worst energy retentions of any plane at its br range
u know a plane is in a terrible state when it still struggles against many fighters it sees in a downtier
f5c is unbeatable if not in perfect position.

@Rootsyl Energy retention is best showed by sustained turn rate:
J35XS with 6 minutes of AB time: 12.5 degrees per second.
J37C with 6 minutes of AB time and no radar missiles: 11.1 degrees per second.
“Make the J37C 2200kg of fuel!” Sure, then it loses due to running out of fuel in 3 minutes while also being worse at retaining energy.
“Instructor makes sustained turns harder.” Yes, and J35 will still perform better.
A & D, or left-hand equivalents, are your friend for making sustained turns in air RB easier.

i straight up do not believe your testing, even then your point is moot because the JA37C can at least kill other planes at its battle rating with radar missiles in the front aspect, the JA35XS has literally no tools to deal with vastly superior planes at a lower BR like the J-7E, it just gets crushed

Besides J35XS hating trim settings, I use trim settings for all aircraft in War Thunder to get the results. J35XS I couldn’t cause it would not trim correctly at all, probably a bug, so I screenshot when I held it for more than 3 seconds on a speed. Worst case I was climbing a little while gaining slight speed which drops the turn rate down.
Besides, 9Js are among the best 11.3 missiles in the game for fighter platforms.
Oh, and J-7E for your pleasure: 13.9 degrees per second with its fuel tank equipped.

weird attempt at manipulative guilt tripping, but 9Js are very mediocre lol, planes get them entire battle rating spreads lower
the F-5E FCU gets better all aspect missiles at the same br, the J-7E gets the superior PL-5B at a lower BR

No one’s trying to guilt trip you; attempting to prove a position is not “guilt tripping”.
F-5E FCU being under-BR’d is irrelevant.
And PL-5Bs are just as flare sensitive as 9Js.

when the flare sensitivity is identical and the PL-5B has much better range and acceleration i’d say that make the PL-5B far better, when you look at every other 11.3 or hell even 11.0 fighter, most of them easily outstrip the J35XS
turning better in sustained turnfights in this airrb mode is worthless since someone else comes blazing fast and kill you or your enemy before you anyways. Not being able to retain speed while turning on the other hand is detrimental. Your argument is obviously a coping mechanism when ja37c is just more powerful than xs in any kind of situation. Radar missiles from front aspect, more countermeasures, more ammo, better gun placement… What are you trying to achieve here trying to defend an overtiered plane?

the J35XS retaining speed slightly better than the viggen still puts it well below basically every other fighter you see at the tier, it is blatantly over-BR’d at the moment
Sooo, are you ignoring/forgetting the fact missiles exist and that once you very limited flares is spent on three of the four missiles that most aircraft carry. you are Screwed?
Try to outrun a missile, You can out turn it. But doing so, you either get shot in the ass, or another missile gets ya since the meta of jets is just. Flares & missiles.
Sure in a 1v1 depending on aircraft this might not be a issue. But when are you in a 1v1, yeaa. pretty much never, there are always enemies prepared to missile spam you risking their friendlies…

No the Ja37C is fine where it is, if anything the J35XS should be moved down to 11.0br. There should be no reason for a J35XS to face F14s with no RWR.
Planes like the Kfir Canard and J35XS are overtiered at 11.3br, and should be 11.0br especially when compared to their contemporaries like the F4E, Ja37C, Mig 21bis, and J7E/J8B.
