Hm, do you have any screenshots/sources to confirm this? The launchers are not identical, and i remember having seen a photo of the F-35 with downward shooting CMs. Thats why i assumed they were different!
I can understand the Ö and S variants using similar configurations, because they were upgraded in finland iirc. Did the danish also modify their aircraft there?

This photo, from the original F-35 WDNS suggestion thread, gives a better view of the underside of the launchers. But there doesnt seem to be any openings there either! So there is no visible openings anywhere on those dispensers, could they be fitted with a cover that is removed when they are fired?
To specify, i am talking about the flare modules denoted as 1 and 2 in the picture you posted.

I believe so as you can see the Chaff dispensers here also are revealed but in some other shots especially for training flight and such they are covered.
Yeah you can see here the chaff launchers have a cover on them so it likely is just a cover for when they aren’t in combat or being used outside of training.

Are the chaff modules visible from this angle, wouldnt the second outmost pylon block the view?

Gaijin are making everything that bad to force us to play top tier is all iv got.
J35 at 10.3 with no CMs sounds like the worst experience in war thunder. They really need to employ someone that just says no to the nonsense

Yeah, it’s hard to tell Silver also mentioned they likely had covers for the CMs, mentioning they might also be able to blow off the cover when needing to fire CMs kinda like rocket pod nose cones. Though I doubt that, if anything it’s an added safety net for being on the ground or in the air when the system isn’t needed.
I agree, and i find it strange that there are no photos of open dispensers on the tail nozzle. The dimensions on the end looks to be the same as the tail hook chaff dispensers
Yeah all these ones have the chaff dispenser open, there’s a lot of photos of A-019 with the open chaff dispenser so the other images could be a pre 1977 model

But yeah, unfortunately some of my battle of Britain training images are too far away or low quality to get a look at the tails though they also took place in 1977 so it’s likely it happened before the retrofit to the 80s model

The finnish dispenser looks to be more tapared in towards the back, compared to the danish rectangular ones. But then again the air intakes for the afterburner(?) appears the same, so it might just be due to that.

Though could be due to being an F model versus the S. I’d need Finnish documents on their model to get a reason for their thicker BOY 402 pods

The radar weapons should at least make it less unplayable than japan 104 but if XS also get these weapons then it’ll be pretty dumb
XS maybe should have just stayed at 10.7 and even more deserves it if gets the new weapons
