I don’t know what the point would be of adding the J35J at 10.3 without countermeasures; the plane would be unplayable if that happens.

J35J has to be higher br than J35D because it’s better BUT J35XS with flares cant be higher than J35J because, of course, it’s a premium… (even though it’s much faster than 10.7 F-5C and has triple the missile count (much better missiles as well))

We need to gather as a community and prove that the J35J needs BOY 402 pods to remain competitive. Since the premium J35XS carries countermeasures pods, and aircraft like the F-5C have countermeasure pods for balance reasons, adding this loadout to the tech tree variant is essential.
Both the J35J and J35XS sit at Battle Rating 10.3, yet only one has countermeasures. This creates a clear balance issue, similar to how the Mirage IIIC and Mirage IIIE differ—where one has a lighter flight model and the other has countermeasures, but they are balanced with different Battle Ratings. Furthermore, Gaijin has previously stated that premium vehicles should not be objectively superior to their tech tree equivalents; with the current state of the J35J, that guideline is not being followed.
We need to gather historical documentation showing the compatibility or testing of BOY 402 pods on the J35J airframe, similar to their use on the S 35E, so we can submit a well-supported suggestion.

F-5 also makes a lot more money than the XS.
Especially looking at event/prem versions
i’ve been trying to add missing weapons to Swedish aircraft for at least 2 years now, and they still haven’t bothered to recognize my bug reports.

Well, they want a direct company document to say like the pod we made is compliant with J35J but the air force did not want it.
Instead of a “J35XS descends from J35F2 and J35J descends from J35F2 also, just like Danish Draken, and both foreign Drakens use the pod without using the non-existent airframe modifications by just bolting on therefore the pod is compliant to J35J too” argument
Or “if Finns modify their local J35F2 copy with our pylons and also delete one gun and add ammo to the other just like our J35J and after add countermeasures made by our company” argument.
So this is a choice problem, and if they argue that they still need some “dokuments”, I can only send them some entry level set theory.

The Draken uses a different CM configuration from the J35XS though, its just Gaijin that is too lazy to update the model.

Not really the F-35 and the XS plus the Austrian J-35 all use BOY-402, it’s just that our F-35 also uses more than just BOY-402 as our tail hook has CM mounts
Hm, do you have any screenshots/sources to confirm this? The launchers are not identical, and i remember having seen a photo of the F-35 with downward shooting CMs. Thats why i assumed they were different!
I can understand the Ö and S variants using similar configurations, because they were upgraded in finland iirc. Did the danish also modify their aircraft there?

This photo, from the original F-35 WDNS suggestion thread, gives a better view of the underside of the launchers. But there doesnt seem to be any openings there either! So there is no visible openings anywhere on those dispensers, could they be fitted with a cover that is removed when they are fired?
To specify, i am talking about the flare modules denoted as 1 and 2 in the picture you posted.

I believe so as you can see the Chaff dispensers here also are revealed but in some other shots especially for training flight and such they are covered.
Yeah you can see here the chaff launchers have a cover on them so it likely is just a cover for when they aren’t in combat or being used outside of training.
