J35 Draken BR Issues (GRB)

Now as the title suggests, i believe the J35’s are overtiered in GRB, and i do not promote a significant decrease in BR, only by a single BR i,e. 0.3.

If we considering what the bring to the fight in GRB we see that they -

  1. Do not have any guided ordinance, neither AGM (MCLOS/TV/IR/Laser) where vehicles at substantially lower BR bring these capabilites, (Bullpup, Kh-59, AGM-65B) and similar are found at even lower BR.

  2. No or considerably low Countermeasure count, from (9.7 - 10.7) we have J35-A & D lacking countermeasures all together and only the premium/squad Drakens even have access to countermeasures 12 - 24+ 44chaff for the J35XS & F-35 at (10.7)

this is not even a case of ‘‘risk of uptier’’ as heatseeking AA launchers are found at the lowest Draken BR of 9.7 across multiple nations (Santal, Gepard, ZSU-23-4M4, and so on)

And as such i would suggest a downtiering of the J-35 Draken family by .3/.4 BR in GRB alone
(Not discussing ARB here as i believe while overtiered in the same way, there are more ways to counter said deficiencies in ARB)

Definitely agree

Only the F-35 has bombs at all; the rest only have rockets, and out of those, only the J35XS has CCIP (small thing, but still note-worthy).

Aye, should’ve mentioned that there isn’t even any mechanical/data assistance for any ground ordinance besides the F-35.

Even doing CAP duty, the flare count is negatively impacting its capabilities, and while possible to evade a missile by physically evading it, doing so will slow down a delta/double delta wing so much it will be impossible to evade a second missile and/or guns giving you in effect only one opportunity to evade.

So wether one is doing CAP or CAS with subpar ordinance, the draken is severely limited within its BR.
