Were the swedish historically not supplied with M20 APIT rounds? Because the american P-51D-20 gets full APIT belts, whereas the swedish J26, which to my knowledge is based on the P-51D-20 does not get these later belts. What I’m curious about is whether this would be accurate, as the P-51Ds that were supplied to sweden and given the designation J26 were delivered in march and april of 1945, which I believe was after the development and introduction of the M20 APIT. I am unable to find any information on the ammunition used by the swedish for these P-51Ds, so I am curious whether them having the belts commonly put on early M2 brownings would be accurate
I believe the J26 used different guns than the P-51’s and naturally different belts
They’re supposed to be the same M2 Brownings, just with their own name, as far as I know.
No, i dont think so, the akan m/45 is just the swedish designation for the m2 browning
