Not to support gaijin… but is there any combat data on the J-16? To my knowledge it has only flown against other aircraft in a joint military drill with Egypt.
There is considerably less open source data on it than a lot of the other aircraft in the game.
I have been enjoying china so far. I’m up to 12.3 in ground and 11.3 in air. So take what I am saying with a grain of salt. (Top tier in multiple other nations)
First frame is MiG #154 which is a 9.15 airframe. 2nd airframe is non flyable mockup. No service MiG-35 uses AESA at this time. Current dev server MiG-35 is very much a “What if MiG-35 had AESA radar in service”.

Not surprising given Gaijin is well known for having very inconsistent justification. Doesn’t change that the current MiG-35 is a “what if” however.
Hell, the F-14A IRIAF is a prime example of a “what if” aircraft. What if Iranian F-14 carried R-27s? What if they carried Hawk missiles? And that’s what the current iteration is.

Not a single service MiG-35 uses AESA. It was advertised as an export option, but was never used in service.

Does your whataboutism change the fact MiG-35 does not use AESA in real life? And what makes you think this issue is exclusive to Russia? I literally mentioned the IRIAF just one post earlier.

so does yours change the fact that Eurofighter radar and not even out of factorys and not ready to be in service until some years. or what about swiss hornets having weapons they never had. or the fact chinese get completly fake double-rack pylon.
this is a game, there are some twiste to real life, get that in your head.
i am not reading 50 messages.
its just that j16 is heavily, HEAVILY needed. not that its that much game breaking kind of better than the j15t, but atleast there’s finally countermeasures to use. the pl12 pulls only 25g’s, has a wider turn radius than the sparrow (sparrow of the current game not the improvised sparrow in the dev server). its the only fox 3 that can be rolled.
there’s so many instances of my pl12’s just not working. i grinded china because its a nation i like in real life, but as of right now there’s nothing to be played for maybe except the 13.7 j10a. the j10c is mid because of its low maximum fuel, mid flight model etc etc. j15t, not the best flanker fm, has the lowest amount of countermeasures, has missiles that are just outright bad. the only reason why i think its 14.7 is because its gonna get EW and pl15 in the future, but as of right now its just horrible.
j16 is so that it makes it a little better. you still suffer, but you have countermeasures like a normal flanker so you can try to hit more shots with the pl12.
this post is completely right, j16 is underperforming. its just that if the only nation you grinded is china, you have something to play with. i’m not a fan of the sm2, but i’d take the sm2 over j16, j15 and j10c any day.

if its wrong then everything in the same class should be mentioned. as far as your messages goes. only mig35 and iran f14 has been mentioned.

“some twists” as in maximum overload of the missile being literally 25g’s? (AT BEST CONDITIONS, SPEED ALTITUDE, ITS LOWER THAN THAT.). its outranged by the amraam, cant pull for anything.
j15t should be catobar capable, the t variant is specifically so that it can use a catapult to launch… it doesn’t have it in game.
j16 is just a plane thats “playable” and not outright bad.
