How many of most vehicles in warthunder are in service?
The double pylons on the fuselage, seen since the Su-27SM and also on the Su-30SM, are something of a “what-if” scenario , only the Su-35 and Su-30SM2 actually use them.

Yeah personally i dont really mind the what ifs, its not like only the russian tech tree benefits from them, eurofighter aesa radar for one example
I think while contentious the double r77 pylon is fine for the base su27sm has meh radars and the base r77s arent great
And then if the su27 gets it no real reason to omit it from the su30sm

That has nothing to do with “what-if”.
That’s just basic documentation understanding.
Double pylons on F-15, Flankers w/ modern avionics, & Chinese aircraft all are not “what if”.
It’s just documents they found that shows things.

Maybe gaijin should do like 6 minutes of research and not add the newest variant based on the 3D model and annoy the whole Chinese player base when they gimp it to early standards?

Tbh I can live with all of this as long as they undo the PL-12 changes…
Seeing the pattern in the last few updates the conclusion for me is that China will be done the way they want it done, and they ignore all kinds of report or source provided to them. Best I can hope is that things just go back to the way they were.

Welcome to the club. Same struggle as with trying to get the Challenger 2s their correct armour profiles or the Swift F7’s Fireflashes to actually be usable because Gaijin ruined it or to get the Tornado its real flight model.
Unless you’re French where a dubious at best document was used to give the Rafale 8 MICA-EMs, or you’re the Russian Su-30SM which is one of the most handheld planes in the entire game, you get to suffer with terribad responses like this.

I’m glad that someone is speaking up for the Chinese tech tree in the English-speaking community. But we all know that tech trees of other nations have also been messed with to varying degrees. This has been a long-standing issue. Add to that the so-called “Russian bias,” and now nobody is having a good time.

Imo, just fix the Pl-12. Just like the sparrows on the dev server that now can’t be out turned, the Pl-12s shouldn’t either. If they can’t seem to fix the Pl-12s then give the PL-10 to compensate. Or even drastically give the PL-15s but limit it to a certain amount that can be carried.

It has been quite long a time for them to look down on the fighters from China, but not as serious as this time. The current J16 is just a modern su30mkk, which is indeed not fair, we have quite enough information that proves the fact that J16 is a lot better than the exist fighters in the game, it’s ok not to give it pl15 or so for now, but not ok to leave it in the current situation. Thank our foreign friends for speaking for J16
