I should make it clear, I’m not arguing either way whether it should get the buffs or not, just wanted to see what my and your interpretation of the CM’s statement was.
I would like to think Gaijin wouldn’t add PL-15 just for the J-10C and instead save it for next-gen bvr integration.
In the short term, I would think potentially PL-12A since there’s an open report on it but otherwise things look bleak….
My interpretation of:
“Devs are aware of the current state of this plane. There are some planned changes to teh J-10C”
is probably the engine upgrade and a BR change. Loadout buff is possible. but PL-12s arent too bad at the moment from what a few people have told me about them. Clear upgrade over the Aim-120B. So a loadout buff is possible, but I dont think likely before the next major update. If/when PL-15 level weapons are added.
PL-12A could be added, but Im doubting that too.

Does align with the usual Gaijin holiday and could align with a BR update planned in the new year. There is typically one 1-2 weeks after they get back. Which is needed for a number of new vehicles added this major update.
Was any such thing also said about F-15 and F-18?

As I said before, buffs can be achieved without actually touching said vehicle.
Challenger 2, 2F, TES, OES went from DOA to actually half decent without their BRs being touched but instead changes being made to others.
Though likewise it could drop down to 14.0 if the upgrade over the J-10A largely remains a radar buff and 2 extra missiles. Placing it in-line with the Gripen E.
Ideally and I would personally suspect both occuring.
Move the strongest of the 14.3s up to 14.7/15.0 whilst also moving the J-10C down to 14.0. Though I would hope they would finally decompress 12.0-14.0 as well, so that final BR could be different
If Gaijin was to only move the max br to 14.7, what do you see going up there and what do you see staying at 14.3?

Im on the fence about the F-15C GE being 14.3 or 14.7. its on a knifes edge imo, but probably fine at 14.3 for now

And the M-Scan Typhoons, F-18E and Su-30SM/MKM which are already at 14.3. But yes
If mechanics like ECM get added in the near future. Then that opens the door for others to join them like the Gripen E, and Israel could get a direct equivalent to the F-15C GE too.
There isnt many 14.0+ aircraft to begin with, and even fewer that deserve to be 14.3 with the current compression.

Maybe. I honestly dont know much about Chinese aircraft, I’ve fought the J-10A sporadically and so never formed a major opinion of it. So J-10C im largely forming an opinion on what little I know.
FM comprable to/slightly better than that of a Gripen?. AESA Radar, decent IRCCM and ARH missiles (Above average for both) with a decent missile load but struggles massively with a very limited CM count.
So comparing it to the Gripen E seems appropriate to me, as it trades missile performance for CM load and gimballed radar

Yeah, probably. Definetly if they ever fix BOL. But Gaijin did drop the Gripen Es BR from 14.3 to 14.0 if I’m not mistaken. So, I guess that’s what we are dealing with for now.

I don’t think they dropped it’s BR. It had 13.7 on the dev in it’s place holder phase (probably copied from the Gripen C) and then got moved up to 14.0 iirc.
