If J-7E carry PL-8, it would be 11.7BR or 12.0BR just like Kfir C.7.
It was 11.3BR material in the current meta to begin with even without PL-8s, but somehow it was moved to 11.0BR.
If you want to see 11.7BR or 12.0BR J-7E, go ahead.
The top tier generally refers to the 13.7-12.7BR range, but J-7E is not among them.

I don’t know about current Kfir C.7 because Gaijin changed wing ripping system in last few patches but, J-7E is one of good dogfighter as Kfirs.
As long as Kfir C.2 with x2 Python-3 is sitting at 11.7, a similarly better FM & more AAM means moving to a higher BR.

Scuse me? xD It is mate, its alright at 11.3 and 11.7 even 12.0 against most planes, as soon as it hits 12.3 its dead in the water.
Considering the amount of F18s and F16s cutting about right now.
Compared to even what it was before the BR changes when it was up against the F14 and mig29s etc it was in a better spot IMO
It has a top tier RWR, it’s one of the best performing 3rd gens for flight performance, and it has some of the best rear aspect missiles in the whole game. It’s main downside is that it’s missiles are holding it back (and the engine overheating is a minor issue too).
I think that it’s a great plane, and I’d like to see later variants with better missiles.
Didnt say it was a bad plane at all mate! well aware how good it is, use it on and off got an over 2.0KD with it, however, were now back to the real of recompression where the likes of J7E is seein stuff like the F16A, and subsequently F18A as well.
Its missiles while good for a 10.3 game, hold it back massively in these uptiers, even to 12.0 you start to lose match effectiveness with them and go from being one of the best performing dog fighters to more of a rat sneaking around.

While kinda applicable its a catch 22, the J7E is a victim of compression right now while I believe it should not go down in BR, it definitely could do with some better breathing room. (or some all aspect missiles.)
if something like j7e got pl8s it would make no sense for any jet north of it to not have all aspects as well and for things like f104s asa to be much lower
Yeah I do agree, it was more to give it a better chance against the 4th gens slinging around the maps, as gaijin tends to do stuff arbitrarily to buff / nerf planes or vehicles.
However it would as you say cause massive issues wouldn’t it.
Like why would it get Pl8s but the FG1 and FGR2 are stuck with 9Gs (which should have 9Ls as well)
I think it needs 0.7 matchmaking bracket than a BR changes then…

Not really, the 0.7 rework for the entire match maker would obviously force almost every vehicles BR to be reviewed and reworked along side it.
0.7 Would as a blanket treatment would inadvertently cause massive balance issues across Ground and Air.
Its far more sensible to push for Decompression, as we were getting it for a short period.
0.7 sounds great , on paper, but in practice it would likely be the same, or worse.
Extendin ARB to 15.0 or even 14.7 and GRB to 13.0 would massively eleviate most of these issues
j7e is fine at its br, there are alot of dangerous things it has to compete against sure but it has some incredibly benefits and abilities that almost no other jets in game have.
For instance like being able to turn at like mach 1.5+ without losing almost any speed.
Sure it has only some of the best rear aspect missiles in the game but if you use the rest of its abilities + those you can shove extremly fast pl5b’s up peoples tails before they even know whats happening
the J7E is at a battle rating of 11.0 in EC, it is BY FAR the best plane in that whole rotation and i am talking from experience both from using it and fighting it.
its just so ahead of everything else it faces, it is basically a seal clubbing machine,
