I already don’t use 12 radar missiles on my jets, so that doesn’t impact me.
I didn’t run my 0 - mach 1.5 test on J-15T during dev server, but it’s going to be at least as fast as Su-30SM2 and F-15JM.
Think someone else posted that the sm2 has better acceleration and climbrate and engine power at high speeds
The FM is good, 10x PL-12A is quite a good loadout and the Radar is by far not the worst - IMO one of the best atm, even slightly better than RBE2-AA in practically from what I can tell.
Only downsides I can see are missing spherical RWR, HMCS and better IR missiles - perhaps PL-15E too, not sure yet.

I test with weapons attached because that’s going to be the use case.
Also, USA has a fighter with a similarly low amount of countermeasures: F-18E.
120 small caliber countermeasures is similar to 48 large caliber countermeasures; neither are ideal at 14.3+ and 240 or 180 standard caliber countermeasures, and 96 large caliber are honestly necessities to feel comfortable.
So yeah, China’s not the first to get a vehicle that lacks countermeasures.

I would not call any radar that has a search zone of 140 x 140 “one of the best”, having 180 or even 200 degree coverage is far more stronger in top air RB. Besides it’s already questionable for it to use the same radar as J-10C.

oke fair enough, i take it back, the radar is not “one of the worst” aesa radars ingame, it’s just sm2 and eurofighters notch while tracking capability that is really strong making their radars alot better than the others.
It just seems like a worse sm2 by almost every metric, would gladly sacrifice a bit of turn rate for thrust vectoring, and the rest just seems straight up worse. Think the ir glide bombs and the ir missiles is the only benefit of this vehicle

Nothing is known about its IRL Radar, except that its most likely tilted.

The name is not publicly known, then again devs can always name it like how they named other unknown Chinese radars, such as HQ-11 TA/PGZ-625 TA

no the F15C-GE doesnt have a good FM the J15T in a dogfight can fight on par with the SU30SM2
it can beat the SM2 in all speeds but stall because of TVC its also lighter than SM2
