Nah, I realized they can’t. Unless they take the Russian chaff rockets, the naval flankers can’t get extra cms cause the extra cms modifications use UV-50 countermeasures which the su-30s and su-35 uses. Base su-27 and su-33/j-15 and their early derivatives uses the older APP-50 countermeasures which don’t have compatibility with the smaller, more numerous countermeasure that UV-50 uses
Yeah but hypothetically couldn’t they just modify the airframe to get more slots for countermeasures in another place?
The answer is simple: real-world missiles aren’t as easily fooled by a few puffs of chaff as they are in War Thunder. Thanks to their edge in electronic technology, the PLA prefers equipping aircraft with dedicated Electronic Warfare pods. In many public photos, you’ll see PLA jets carrying only one or two missiles alongside these electronic warfare pods.
I know, read above
I dont think there has been a proper enough conflict for them to actualy equip their jets with full theoretical loudout
@Smin1080p_WT could this issue get be fowarded by the devs

Apart from the HUD model, the rest of the J-15T’s cockpit model is incorrect—it’s not just missing the ejection seat handles. However, Gaijin currently has no plans to fix it due to the lack of clear cockpit images.

I don’t think they will adjust the model details further until they obtain clear cockpit reference images.
Even if a larger-scale conflict were to break out, it is unlikely that the PLAAF and PLANAF would ‘Christmas tree’ their aircraft by maxing out every single hardpoint. It is well-known that the PLA maintains the world’s largest fleet of heavy fighters, with a total number of Flanker variants exceeding the entire production run of the F-15 series. Therefore, they are likely to favor a ‘high-frequency, low-load’ doctrine—relying on a greater number of sorties rather than overloading individual planes.
This is also why ‘beast mode’ loadouts are rarely seen in publicly released PLAAF/PLANAF imagery. It is a pity that reality does not align with this fantastical ‘bathtub aerial combat’ game, and unfortunately, this realism creates a disadvantage for the Chinese tech tree in-game.
Clear cockpit reference images? This is absolutely confidential!
You know what I mean. Without “clear images,” they’re unlikely to change the cockpit model. So, the J-15T might just remain stuck in this ancient state.
This is ridiculous! As long as players do not provide reliable information (regardless of whether it is classified), they can freely create things that can be easily proven wrong!
This is the cockpit they gonna use when they add the J-20

lmao
There are loads of photos of the F-22, F-35, Su-57, Eurofighter, Rafale, etc. cockpits online. Do China specifically not allow photo of their jet cockpits when everyone else does?
Nope
China almost never releases such image data, even for exported jets. They never truly sit in the cockpit and take direct photos of the MFD interfaces. You can only occasionally catch glimpses of a few details through some news media, or see images from simulator cockpits, or rely on photos or videos from their foreign customers for blurry or clear cockpit details.
This thing with its lack of counter measures is the War Thunder top tier equivalent of “I have no mouth, and I must scream” except its “I have no chaff, and I must defend”. I like the flight model, the loadout is incredibly okay, but much like most people said it would be, definitely feels a little dead in the water.
I see alot of J-15T players playing too aggressively and dying fast. Playing from up high and far, the PL12A can score kills. That way you also don’t need to bring flares and just bring chaff. It’s basically a more laid-back version of the J-10C. Just depends on which playstyle you like.
That’s an interesting point. But I think the less infomation u tell to the public, the more advantage u have, because, in other words, the more infomation the enemy knows, the smarter the strategy they made. So I think it’s wise to be unclear.
For other countries who allow photos, maybe the aircraft companies need to show how their product good, even with some exaggerated info, to compete with other companies. However thing doesnt work like that in China because the companies are nationalized, and PLA can just purchase the vehicles through internal way(except when doing foreign trade).
All in all it’s my personal guess, we may never what’s real about PLA cuz they’re always mysterious as fxxk
