General Info
The Iveco lince is a light multi-role vehicle made in Italy. The Lince is four-wheel-drive purpose-built military vehicle in service with various countries. It first started production in 2001 and entered service inside of the Italian army in 2013. The story begins during the 1990’s, Italy had set out a new requirement for its armed forces, which aimed to equip the Italian troops with a new multi-role vehicle that would be able to fully replace the aging fleet of VM90’s as the main multi-role vehicle which the Italian army used. Which would mean the VM90’s would get more of a secondary role. The new vehicle had to basically be an improvement in every sector from the last, and be able to withstand small and high caliber fire. Another requirement was for it to be able to withstand IED’s (Improvised explosive devices) which would slowly become one of the biggest threats that world armies would begin to face. After a couple of prototypes, and some refining to the design, the Iveco Lince was ready to be put in service, most would be delivered in 2013. In terms of speed, the IVECO LMV is motorized with an IVECO F1D Common Rail diesel engine and a fully automatic six-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of generating 136kW, It can reach speeds up to 110 km/h. According to Iveco, the crew cell design has been developed particularly by the need to accommodate five fully-equipped soldiers, including body armour and personal equipment. Most internal roll-bars have been redesigned, enhancing the available legroom, while the internal cab height is 100mm greater than on the standard LMV, thus increasing internal space and habitability. The particular design of the Lince allows it to be extremely effective in absorbing IED blasts, protecting Italian soldiers in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya., due to this it has gotten the nickname of ‘’ San Lince ‘’. The Iveco Lince not only is it one of the most protected vehicles, but also is able to be armed due to it being multi-role. Armament the Lince can use include things such as Spike ATGMS, both MR and LR, 40mm grenade launcher and the MSHORAD (RBS 70 NG) Air defense system. The Iveco Lince has also kept on getting upgraded, which helps it greatly by increasing its lifespan, and allowing it to continue its service without lagging behind other countries’ counterparts. Good to note it was also tested with hard kill active protection systems, although as of yet it doesn’t seem that has entered service. The latest upgrade to the Lince has brought it up to the ‘’ Lince 2 ‘’ standard, which currently recently entered service inside of the Italian army. The Lince also had a great success inside of the export market, countries such as Russia, Belgium, Albania and Brazil have all bought it and put it in service.

Why it should be in game
The Iveco Lince should get added in the game as this vehicle is one of Italy’s most produced and exported vehicles around the word, it has the armaments to allow itself to be a very potent vehicle. The Iveco Lince can also extent itself to the Russian tech tree with the license produced variants made by Kamaz. This Vehicle has great potential to be a fan favorite and im sure italian players will be more than happy to see this vehicle hopefully come into the game someday.
