The Challenger doesn’t have a basket at all!!! Why do they treat this vehicle like that just because it’s not a Warsaw Pact vehicle?!?
I admit that adding hydraulic pumps and baskets to the Abrams and Leopard 2 was because they were too powerful, but why does the rotating platform belong to the steering gear?!?!
This is a very stupid game balance design, no one wants to stand still as a punishment! I also don’t like game content that involves repairing vehicles for a long time! NATO doesn’t have any new and interesting ground combat vehicles, fine, but treating players who like NATO vehicles this way is just favoring Warsaw Pact vehicles! I protest this internal structure update!
Maybe War Thunder could be renamed Thunder of the Russian Federation, if every NATO vehicle were to be faked as a hanging basket.
Oh my God, I am really so disappointed. How did you manage to be so biased towards the Warsaw Pact vehicles? If everyone is blocking the controls, why not just let the Warsaw Pact vehicles fly in the air while shooting KH38 from the gun barrels to destroy the evil NATO vehicles?
If you actually care about retaining players, stop endlessly buffing Russia with made-up features. The player base isn’t that large to begin with, and yet you’re still adding things that never existed. You’ve already fictionalized enough equipment as it is—why create another one? The real vehicle’s interior has already been photographed and provided to you, so there’s no excuse for making things up.
After the Leopard received a larger steering system, the overall balance of top-tier vehicles declined sharply, and everyone started to feel uncomfortable. Will the balance return to normal soon? The great developer said: No, all of you should be fodder for the Warsaw Pact vehicles, not main battle tanks and systems that can kill Warsaw Pact vehicles and fight them on equal terms.
I still hope that some attention can be given to the fact that there is originally no suspended basket.
Adding turret baskets to the Challenger 2 is utterly nonsensical both in terms of historical accuracy and in-game balance,I really fail to see the point of this change. The Challenger 2 lacks solid defensive capabilities, its firepower is hampered by a mere four ready-use rounds, and mobility-wise only the Challenger 2E variant stands out in the entire lineup. Its turret front is flawed with a massive weak spot on the turret roof plus exposed breech gaps. What’s more, the vehicle never featured turret baskets in real life. Did your dev team base this in-game implementation solely on the turret baskets designed for easy part handling on a Lego Challenger 2 set, alongside unsubstantiated evidence cited by someone who hasn’t even played top-tier vehicles? The update ruins both historical fidelity and game balance. What core standard is this game even advertising to uphold?
So you can’t win against us in real-life specs and have to resort to winning via arbitrary in-game adjustments? And why don’t you fit those real-world tanks with the actual hanging baskets then? Please stop screwing over your player base like this, unless you want to face another massive player backlash just like back in 2024
Yes, they completely do whatever they want and don’t care about the players’ experience at all. They want players to attack each other because of the strength issues between the Warsaw Pact and NATO, and all they need to do is sit on the side as a so-called obedient developer.
I can’t understand their definition of “priorities.”
They consistently lack explanation, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts with players.
It’s no longer a matter of priority or misunderstanding; they just want players from different countries to attack each other, so they can disguise themselves as the ‘good kids’.
That’s right.
Especially recently, I get discouraged with every update.
This game simply has no competitors of the same type; everything is over. By the time their top-level vehicle internal structures are completed, you might even see WWII vehicles like the Sherman with a basket added, and Tiger and Panther tanks with inexplicably huge rudders…
