Since there has not been any change to this mechanic and last big update has brought “free” vehicles that have not curbed nor fixed the “one death leaver” problem, its high time that this update we finally either get a change or straight up deletion of the crew lock.
In theory it was meant to de-incentivize people from leaving early from the match as a form of a hand slap. In practice however all this does is punish players that have actual lineups after players that only brought one premium tank leave the match resulting in the player count on one team being drastically reduced.
Free vehicles have done absolutely nothing to curb one death leaving because the fundamental issue with one death premium leavers. Once their premium vehicle is destroyed, they will not spawn a crew level 1 stock tank that doesnt even give any significant RP gain unless they are researching something within its effective research rank range.
The only thing that the free SPAA has given us is 7 pantsirs per game since that is effectively the only vehicle from the free vehicles that is largely unaffected by being stock.
Crewlock is a mechanic thats for some reason still present despite being harmful to the players more than not and doesnt do its purpose.
A significant reduction in “time out” or complete deletion of this mechanic is genuinely needed at this point.
