Italy’s lack of top tier AA, at top tier is becoming very visible, OTOMATIC an 11.3 SPAA is as good as a 2S38 which is at a lower BR (in my opinion atleast) and 2s38 doesn’t even get its APFSDS limited. So i’m wondering what could italy get as a Anti Air for top tier? Besides draco since its still a otomatic but now in a centauro hull.

True but is OSA really worth using at top tier? I recently got mine but i didnt bother touching it at all and just skipped to researching otomatic instead
I personally put the OSA in the line-up but I tend to not play it.

Well, no, but it beats having IR only or Otomatics lack of range.
Think of it like a bandaid for bullet wound instead of proper medical care.
But hey, next patch is getting close and gaijin hinted at multiple new AA systems so id hold my judgment until devstream.
Dont get me wrong OSA is great for its BR.

That’s a often “simplified” term for the DRACO, when in reality that’s not the case. Yes, the turret is similar to the OTOMATIC, but the systems are incredibly with shells. The DRACO was displayed with DART shells, which is a guided shell. That guided shell has a (over) 8km range, can go up to 40G and around 1100m/s
It can be used for both surface and air targets. If it comes, I have no idea how guided shells will be modelled, as 40G as advertised is a lot, but I’m not sure about it’s speed bleed.
A downside compared to the OTOMATIC is that it has lower amount of shells
I guess another thing worth nothing is that it carried a SCUDO APS system, however that was a mockup

I had no idea! That’s actually very cool, i do hope its in the next or the next few updates because italy REALLY needs a top tier AA because otomatic just doesnt cut it :')

I do also think OSA is great for its br, better than the rolands atleast but i feel like it wouldnt exactly work in top tier sadly but yeah i agree with you

Do Hungary has some better AA options than Italy for top tier ?
Italy does have good options when it comes to SAM systems. Spada and SAMP-T are some of them.
Italy could in the future get a vehicle based on the Lynx chassis for anti-air purposes:

IIRC the autoloader is completely different as well, as it uses a 12 rounds drum instead of the lifter that the otomatic have

Those look as a good enough replacement for the OTOMATIC, as that thing definitely needs to drop down to 10.7.

We have been asking Gaijin for years to move the BR. The only time they do is to move it up so they can claim Italy has a top tier SPAA.
