I don’t see how an Axis nation getting an Axis tank will make it more boring compared to Axis nations getting Allied tanks.

It’s fake. The full metal model was made after the war.
Hungary had Panther tanks in ww2 (see the post from Jul 7 above yours) that were in the 2nd armored division.
I believe there is a Hungary tree within the Italian Tech Tree, so adding it there would not be inconsistent.
As for France - apparently they recovered enough operable vehicles to equip the 503e Regiment de Chars de Combat with 50 Panthers.
How does gaijin justify adding the prototype Falcon spaa to UK (MAIN) Tech Tree, while denying France and Italy (Hungary) access to the Panther when they actually used those tanks?

Stop giving all nations the same tanks. If you want to play Tigers and Panthers play Germany.

So we shall draw the line at the only non-German Axis ally that operated tigers and Panthers. Not before all the captured, never-delivered ones got added? The milk was spilled long ago, and if any nation outside Germany deserves to have these in-game, it is the one that operated them as an ally.
Don’t see much of a difference between an M18 that Italy “must have” and a Panther that Hungary must have. Which would also complement the lineup of the TAS…If Gaijin ever stops making every update almost all c&p. As it seems nowadays, if they cant share a unique model between 5 tech trees, it all of a sudden becomes “longer term plans”.

There are american tanks in almost every country tech tree.
Maybe if Gaijin would add an indigenous Italian tank in the tech tree for missing 5.7 ground vehicles then that would be great. But if there are none existing, then adding the panther to Italian tree is not unreasonable. It’s not like ppl are asking for Panther to be available to countries that never used it.

A Gap is a gap. Thats why we have different nations to play, which should maintain some differences.

The “differences” are for experiences, not handi-caps. It’s just silly to accept built-in handi-caps to specific countries. Some countries (Germany, USA) have more options at specific BRs. But makes no sense to leave some nations with no options.
- Hungary is a sub-tree of Italy Tech Tree
- Panther is a viable medium tank used by Hungary that can slot between the Turan III and the 2S1.
There is no excuse for Italy to not have a decent 5.7 medium tank when a perfectly acceptable solution would be the Hungarian Panther.
Please add to Germany, cause Bundeswehr used some in its early days.^^ Seriously, don’t you all see where this might lead to? Different nations have different vehicles. The game would be lame if everyone uses the same vehicles.

Looking at all the m18-sherman and other exported American C&P just in Italy, i can’t help but wonder why this wasn’t a problem back then.
And there is also a big difference between a Panther/Tiger that fills holes, lacking capabilities, and those early Bundeswehr spaa’s that are equivalents or worse counterparts to existing indigenous German spaa capabilities. There is no equivalence here.

I didn’t know Hungary actually operated them officially, that’s neat. Definitely a good argument for an ‘italian’ Panther.

In looking to fill a gap in the Italy Tech Tree the tigris hardly counts, as it is not a researchable vehicle.

italy never getting a panther in a tech tree form is no one but germany used panthers in numbers to justify it they dont add any tanks that a country did not use as tech trees from other trees in other words even if italy where to recieve a panther they would get a premium hungariian one with add on armor just like panther dauphine or panther TV in russia
All of Italy ground rank 4 is paper (except M26A1 which is okay armor wise, also not counting premiums). I’m personally fine with the rat tanks, but would love a reliable medium tank to play at those tiers.
Vehicles I’d like to see are first the 44M Tas (75mm and 80mm version), a Hungarian/Romanian Panther, and if gaijin is willing to bend reality a little bit give the P.43Bis.
On a side note, where are the Hungarian T-55s, T-34-85s, etc? It wouldn’t all be copy paste Russia as there are some unique modifications of Soviet vehicles and other vehicles like PSZH 20mm prototype and other scout vehicles. Plus I feel the copy paste excuse is long gone now with countries like China, Italy has plenty of unique vehicles (and many more the devs practically refuse to add) that I feel some copy paste in areas where domestic production can’t cover is okay
I feel like Hungarian tree was added honestly just as pocket change a few updates ago, only as an excuse to add a good top tier vehicle (when in reality all gaijin had to do was fix Ariete armor). But never the less I really would like to see more solid Hungarian vehicles and especially need to see Hungarian low tier air (which was promised when it was added)

Italy can actually get Panther from both Hungary and Romania.
