Mk2 is gonna do flight tests soon but is probably going to be prohibitively expensive. Britain is only getting 40 of those
yeah, but for me it’s a rather sad new, as all the other initial new stuff planned for these 24 units won’t be installed, unless they will be upgraded in future

T4 will not be up to P4E upon delivery.
P4E has just entered the system definition phase this year so i’d expect t5 or maybe t4+ to be built to that standard.
but considering that these italian eurofighters will probably be delivered 2028+, it just doesnt make sense to not just do p4e. its all too late
if the eurofighter website is still up to date P4E is still expected for 2028, that might be to long for italy, even if in grand schemes its not a lot
But with current situation every minute pretty much counts and not everyone has as many in stock as germany
that make the situation even more worse
the p4e info on the EF website is mostly advertisement of whats possible.
once the SD phase is done we’ll know what will actually be included in P4E as its primarily a cost driven thing
Fingers are crossed, the rumours emerging from the UKs upcoming defence are pretty severe so an emergency buy is somewhat likely.
If the sale of the T1s to Turkey is approved we will have sub 100 Eurofighters (if you discount the Trainers) and F-35 is complicated.
the big thing all around will be the AMK implementation i would say, thats the most important one for me in terms of war thunder together with the IRST maybe.
The MK1 is a sure thing as soon as its finished and everything else is so specialised it goes over my head and propably is irrelevant for wt
i do hope that AMK gets put into p4e and Germany buys it
and tbh i think it has a good chance as its not really anything expensive aside from modifying the FCS and the production for the panels. there’s no new tech or whatever its just a different shape
but it enhances the flight performance a lot
Perhaps they will retrofit the MK.2 once it has been flight tested and production rate improved?
i mean even post modifiying planes could be possible as shown with the IPA 7
Now with germany finaly implementing brimstones as well, the possibility for more carry on definitly is a great option to still carry the same amount of A2A armament together with the increased A2G armament
