Yeah they have purchased it a few weeks ago but only new T5 variants as far as I know.
tbf the tranche doesnt really mean much, its the standard like P3E that defines the aircraf’s capabilities
Yeah, probably all these new beuilt units will be configurated in the P4E standard, the new one
its just gonna depend on when its produced. its not gonna be T4 but if its produced with the new German ones then who knows. Would depend on how Germany calls it
well since it was stated that they will be equipped by default with the new MK2E radar, we can surely assume that they will be made from 2028 to 2030 (maiby) and giving this assumption they will be T5 with P4E standard
if italy buys more than 16 additional radars (for retrofitting for example) they’d have more than the RAF lol
Well Italy entered in the MK2 programm 3 years ago but we haven’t seen any Number for now, but probably the Itaf Will retrofit the existing 21 T3 with the MK2 (and maiby even the T2, but Idk If that is even possible) so that would be a total of 45 radars (21 retrofitted and 24 on new units)

Mk2 is gonna do flight tests soon but is probably going to be prohibitively expensive. Britain is only getting 40 of those
yeah, but for me it’s a rather sad new, as all the other initial new stuff planned for these 24 units won’t be installed, unless they will be upgraded in future

T4 will not be up to P4E upon delivery.
P4E has just entered the system definition phase this year so i’d expect t5 or maybe t4+ to be built to that standard.
but considering that these italian eurofighters will probably be delivered 2028+, it just doesnt make sense to not just do p4e. its all too late
