im a italy main once again and i will be for long given how more lethal the eurofighter will get with successive tranches. and then obv F35s. happy to be back
So the Italian mains won’t need the Hungarian grippen anymore?

hungary stays with italy, thats it. italy mains will still use the gripen, it cant be realistically moved elsewhere
well if they want to, now there is an option to choose different stuff

True for example the Romanian F-16AM, it would be better to replace the grippen with it, it’s just a bit too OP to have the grippen,f16 and the EF in the same tech tree.
romania is not an official subtree, so its more likely the romanian F-16 is just never added
We have been getting more and more Romanian vehicles added into the Italian tech tree, we could possibly see more of them in the future
yes, but its not garanteed, hungary is an offical subtree, their stuff is coming
romania is just when they feel like it. and the osa specialy was because italy lacks in that area
Hungary doesn’t have a lot of stuff left to be added, except for the lower tier air ofc, Hungary’s main strength is in lower/mid tiers which Italy is good at, while Romania on the other hand has more to offer in higher ranks where Italy needs it the most.
hungary is literaly better their with gripen leopards future getting kf51, while the arietes do suck
no matter how you feel about hungary, hungary is the SUB TREE, its here to stay.

Hungary doesn’t have anything else to offer future wise, no more leopards, Grippen C(government is looking to buy E), maybe, KF-51 in the far future (not guaranteed). And I’m not talking about deleting Hungary, I’m talking about possibly trying to balance Italian air since they are getting the EF(grippen,f16,EF in the same tech tree is just too OP in my opinion). Italy will house most upcoming Romanian vehicles probably judging of off recent events as well.

thats already the case, italy has F-16s themself and are waiting for a version with aim 120
maybe, but its not ggaranteed, they propably arent getting romanian F-16 specialy cause they already have so many with the same capability
Italy has the chance in the far future to get a fully personalised KF51. We’ve cut the Leo 2A8IT deal with KNDS because we wanted more agency over modifications that we needed/wanted. So Leonardo has signed a deal with Rheinmetall to 50% 50% the development of the platform for Italy (a version of the KF41 is also considered) to then sell it later on to potential customers. Pretty much giving us the much needed MBTs and tracked vehicles + getting more money on the back of it.
