One will open a hole easily
The second now has free access to the internal structure
I have a few points to question about this video, I don’t know much about the whole bomber strength stuff.
1: The back of the wing was hit over and over again, which on the B-29 all the internal wing components are towards the front
2: The damage was balanced across the entire airframe, instead of putting all of it into one side, meaning it doesnt become unstable
3: I think the bomber will still probably die due to lack of control and fire
4: Imo 75mm HE seems a little pathetic compared to such a large airframe
Can you show us your research/calculations?
You understand the calculations of bending moment on the spars, the relation between tension and compression on the skin, how a deformation on the airfoil disrupts the airflow and how much of said airfoil can be deformed untill it loses it’s compression/shear streght, right? You know how to calculate all of this in relation to the AOA on the airfoil, right? You arent going by that one report the british made on Mk 108s shooting at striped Spitfire fuselages, right?
also tbf, conveniently ignoring that a Hs would probably never face the B-29, would have been better to take the 50mm 262
20mm != 75mm
hope this helps
not mentioning that:
The root is by far the strongest part of any wing
at a low AOA, most of the damage is superficial
This is what the british found during test, most planes kills would simply be crashes due to aerodynamic failures and not the plane splitting in half as the Wehraboos cry
Strange, yesterday during a test flight in the XA-38 “Grizzly” with the 75 mm cannon, I was blowing the tails off Ju 88s and B-29s with just 1–2 HEI-T rounds.
1 - It’s a 37 mm, you can tell by the fire rate.
2 - HE shells at low AOAs explode on the skin and do little to no damage to internal components.
As you can read, if you know how to, none of the test resulted in “Catastrophic wing failure”
A 75 mm shell kills a tank…depending on what shell he used . I see no tracer on the video , so that should be APHE , at 260m it should have around 120-130mm penetration. What strongest part of the wing…? The one that hits the engine from that angle means you have dead engine , not 2 mention or 3 of them and it has HE filler , it’s not just AP.
From what guns?
From 20mm , yes it wouldn’t “split it in half” .
But it surely wouldn’t be able to dive away with 600km/h and start pulling maneuvers , or try to get in the furball to gunship things and fly around like the fire was nothing.
In the game , they did both.
Probably lethal structurally. Also that’s 1 shell… In the video he puts 11 75s…
Please, don’t post an outdated video and drag us into a pointless discussion.

Not sure, since Gaijin labelled the shell as -Tracer (No tracers), but considering the video does show an explosion effect on hit, I think its the HE.
My P.108 dies in seconds again(
I looked at the wiki too but I don’t trust the wiki over in-game, unfortunately I don’t own the aircraft.
The HE belt on the Duck doesn’t have tracers.
151s and 108s
A furball in a test drive?
Probably being the key word, in the same way as you probably have a massive skill issue
this so sad to see 😿
bombers like B-52 and He 177 and B-17 / UK bombers already so awful to use specially the B-52
the main issue with bombers before rework players always target you it’s very mean a toxic gameplay with bombers but now it’s back players will target bombers again.
i don’t know at this point i see no reason to play air rb or grind bombers anymore i don’t want to face same players who target bombers again it’s so stressful and not fun.
it was fun to be able to play B-52 for 4 days :/
Funny that we went from bombers being targetted because they were easy targets to bombers being targetted because of spiteful pilots. Lucky for me that the G8N1 atleast has great defence guns.
The one shell… Probably stractual.
More shells…ded.
Also , can you have a conversation , or you are of the kind we have to say “yes” and just ignore???
Ah …the second. I figured.
Do you have full image of the document? And is that HEI or just incendiary?
