It’s fixed! №102

Yeah, the Hunter situation is really frustrating

Yes especially when it’s such a good looking and well performing airframe.

Slapped at a Br full of good ir missiles and planes with CM.

I could live with not having CMs at that BR, not all do. But the greater issue is the supersonics you face with an AAM that only works at point blank range. Ive had WAY too many shots miss because the SRAAM self-destructed a few metres from impact. But what is really frustrating is the FGA9 also being 9.7 (in SB). If it was 9.0 (like the FR F6) or 9.3 (like it is in RB) then it would have one or two bracket where its worth taking over the F6. But there just isnt.

Fair, I do not have the FGA9 so I don’t know much about it.

Nearly identical to the F6 but has 2x Aim-9Es instead of the SRAAMs, has reinforced wing spurs (like the F58) so its a little harder to wing rip and it has a drag chute.

I dont think it has the upgraded AVON 207 like the F6 and F58 have.

It would be far better suited at 9.3, than 9.7 as its closer in performance to the [FR] F6 and J34 than it is to the F6 and F58

But none of the BRs make sense.

Hunter F1 is 9.0 with no suspended weapons
[FR] Hunter F6 with 2x Aim-9B is 9.3 in RB and 9.0 in SB
[SW] J34 (Hunter Mk50)with 2x Aim-9B is 9.0 in RB and 9.3 in SB
Hunter FGA9 with 2x Aim-9E is 9.3 in RB and 9.7 in SB
Hunter F6 with 4x SRAAM is 9.7 in both
[GE] Hunter F58 with 2x Aim-9P, CMs and RWR is 9.7 in both

Hunter F1 at 9.0 has always been dumb. As far as I have seen it is basically never even played. It should go to 8.3 and be with the Swift.

Hunter F6 needs the SRAAM buff

8.3 might be too low, but they made a big deal about moving down some “korean era aircraft with no AAMs that were struggling against later aircraft with AAMs” a few BR changes ago but forgot Britain and France and the odd aircraft from a few other minors nations existed. Should be 8.7 these days at the minimum. It was apparently good when it was top tier, but those days are long gone

Yeah… 2+ years and still nothing.

I personally don’t think a change in SRAAM will ever happen.
I would like if they either added a Harrier Gr.1a at 8.7-9.0 or removed SRAAM from Gr.1 and have it at that Br.

Yeah, either could work, but they wont make the GR1 AAM-less because it would too radically change the performance of the aircraft and people purchased it with SRAAMs. It use to be good and can still be in gamemodes better suited for A2G roles like SB, so I would be a little miffed if it suddenly lost them. But at the same time. 0 Excuse for not fixing either the Harriers or SRAAMs

The acceleration report and time to climb are probably going to get ignored for a few years like the SRAAM reports.

Yeah, but specifically for the GR1, I think the smokeless motor is one of the most significant buffs it can get short-term.

I suspect for the FM improvements the Harriers will need to be brought onto the new FM model and that will take time, even if they made it a priority

As long the current matchmaking/br system is a compressed hellhole moving a lot of vehicles up or down in br doesn’t make much sense, as they going to be either overpowered or completely useless.

If they addressed that they would fix it and actively try model it correctly with the information available. I would have no issues with waiting a month or 2. Its more that they almost don’t want to admit that they have it incorrect is what is annoying.

Yes, I agree, though it was unfair to move some down and not touch others. You do one or the other, not both

Given it took 18 months for the Tornados to get leading edge wing slats and that was something they were apparantly actively working on. Id guess it would be more than a year if they started about now. Hopefully, they’ve been working on bringing other aircraft onto the new FM model and starting with the higher BR stuff (which should include the AV-8B+ and FA2) and then we dont need to wait quite as long

Wow.
18 months to add flaps. seems it wasn’t a big priority of theirs.

Mandatory mention of AA.20s.

And now kill does not registered to the owner, Gj gaijin.

It’s still broken unfortunately.

It took over a year and a half for the Su-25T, 39, and 25SM3 to get their flaps fixed.
This isn’t mutually exclusive towards tornados.

Still pulling -1g in sim snaps your wings on many aircraft
