I just played with an ISU-122 on “Middle East” map. I saw a Jagdtiger traversing going from the right to the left. I shot him on the sides, where the armour is much less than the front. On the sides its armour is just 80mm thick.
My shell didn’t penetrate and no damage to the tank!
This is not realistic! With an ISU-122 highly explosive shell the Jagdtiger should have been destroyed.
Shell used: stock BR-471 ( APHE)
How many distance? Also the Jadgtiger have aditional armour in the sides, this can make the shell fuse before even penetrating the tank or completly stopping it
Fine but in real life an ISU-122 shell at close distance would have shaken the enemy crew at least, wouldn’t it?
Shaken, not killed, if there was a stunt mechanic it might be done something but gaijin doesn’t ads it to the game.
hold up this guy just changed the tank he was using went from ISU-122 to ISU-152
I confirm I played an ISU-122. Here is a short replay of when I shot the Jagdtiger and got destroyed in return.
Look at the mini video that shows where my shell hit the tank!

The angle he was at caused his effective armor to protect him. By your shell going at the armor at an angle it has to go through more metal to penetrate.
Ok. Distance was 130 meters. Is it considered short range/close range or medium range?
Yes you hit shell hit him at about a 18 degree angle which would make his effective armor somewhere around 230 - 260mm thick. The range doesn’t affect that crazy of an angle it doesn’t matter if you were close your shell had no chance of pening. I would recommend aiming next time so you can make sure to hit a good spot and not an angle.
That would be a medium range shot I guess… could also be close depends on the person
that’s a brawl range what do you mean
