At a certain Zhuhai air show, JH7A mounted a new gliding bomb on its No. 2 pylon, which was quite similar in size to the size of the GB500 bomb at No. 3 hardpoint, so JH7A should have the ability to mount a 500KG gliding bomb at No. 2 and No. 9 hardpoints.
In fact, Chinese fighter jet bombs should possess higher TNT equivalent yields, particularly glide bombs. According to publicly available data, the explosive yield of a 500 kg glide bomb can exceed 240 kg TNT equivalent, with more direct sources indicating yields reaching up to 280 kg. This already surpasses the 220 kg yield of bombs featured in the game. Additionally, the JH-7A should logically be capable of carrying six 500 kg-class glide bombs, thereby allowing it to better fulfill its intended combat effectiveness in battle.
In the ISSU bug feedback area, this post about the hanging point mounted gliding bomb has been approved for a long time, but after all this time, this issue has still not been resolved, so I think it is necessary to raise this issue again in the forum
Was it approved as a suggestion?
Munitions are one of the few things that are up to the DEV’s to add or not based on balance so even if a plane can carry certain munitions it might not get them in game due to balancing (Many modern vehicles do not have access to the same munitions in game as in real life due to this).
Assuming it was a fairly standard GPS guided glide bomb, then I doubt it would be an issue in that regard. at least it hasnt been a restriction for most of the soviet aircraft to get decently sized glide bombs.
These specific glide bombs aren’t in the game yet, so they have to be modeled and added.
Though when they’re finished I suspect that the other glide bombs of lower mass will be allowed on those store positions as well.
It was indeed submitted as a proposal, and I do not think that two 500kg gliding bombs on the JH7A will affect its balance, but on the contrary, the cutting-edge and even past versions of combat aircraft in other countries have more or less increased the payload capacity of some GPS-guided weapons.
Then it might be as said above that the model and flight model for that specific glide bomb isn’t already in the game so then they have to not only create it and add it but also test it for bugs and issues etc before adding it so it might take longer compared to if the munition already exist in game and can be copy + pasted from another vehicle.
Even so, this hardpoint should at least support the existing weapons currently available in the game, such as the LS6-500/250kg glide bombs. However, the related issue was submitted six months ago and remains unresolved to this day, with no official follow-up or updates from the developers.
Do you have a link to the report?

The original poster did not believe that this hardpoint could carry the 500kg glide bomb. Equipping the new 500kg glide bomb is my own suggestion.
That report only mentions 250kg bombs?
The original poster likely didn’t come across the image I shared, which is why they only suggested the 250kg glide bomb capability. Whereas my intention was to propose/provide evidence for the hardpoint’s ability to carry the 500kg-class glide bomb.
This hanger should be able to mount gliding bombs that already exist in other games, such as LS6-500 and LS6-250 gliding bombs. However, six months have passed and gaijin still hasn’t added the ability to mount gliding bombs to this mounting point
