I bought the vehicle called Merkava Mk.2D a long time ago and have been playing with it continuously. Could you please tell me why? While all vehicles with a 10.0 rank are Tier 7, why was the Merkava Mk.2D downgraded to Tier 6? There is no other vehicle with a 10.0 rank that is Tier 6. Could you please move the Merkava back to the tier it belongs to, which is Tier 7? The reason I bought this vehicle was because it was effective for researching between Tier 1 and Tier 8. But now I feel like I’m being scammed. Thank You.
Battle rating ≠ Rank, these two has little to do with the other, specially at high ranks, the best example where rank do matter are with modules: Light vehicles at rank VI may have scout UAV without thermal imaging screen, while light vehicles at rank VII do have the scout UAV with thermal imaging screen.
Well, then one could argue that 10.0 is overtiered and the Merkava 2D could be 9.7 or even less. I think the question of the fellow player is perfectely rightful.
And by the way Konstantinovich, why is the soviet Shilka rank 6 while the equal Israeli Shilka is now rank 5?
Assuming RB stats,
FV4030/3 / Shir 2 is Rank 6 at 10.0. But I get your point. Both should go to Rank 7.
Probably because if the Israeli Shilka went to Rank 6, Israel wouldn’t have anything at Rank 5. USSR has the early Shilka, Yenisei and ZSU-57-2 at Rank 5.
^^Also that the ranks for Israel are all over the place because the ranks have way more in common.
We need to focus on the important point. When I bought this tank, it was rank 10.0 and tier 7, and it was a premium vehicle. So it provided effective research from tier 1 all the way to the final tier. But now that it has been downgraded to tier 6, it loses its effectiveness in researching top-tier tanks. And this makes me feel like I’ve been misled.
I think the Merkava 2D needs two things. One would be to properly model its composite armor, making it more resistant to APDS-FS rounds. The second would be to add the APDS-FS M428 round, which, despite being somewhat later than the Merkava 2D, is ammunition that it likely used, since the Merkava 2D was in service until 2016, and that round dates back to 2003.
