With Grom-1 removed I have my worries About other Russian missiles such as R-37 & Kh-47 Kinzhal . Will war thunder expand maps even more to handle the range of these missiles or will every Plane be limited in their capabilities.
We are getting closer to having that weapon in game, same with the Meteor, but yes I believe these weapons would be fine.

Meteor is stealth-only for gameplay balance reasons.
Nah, we could definitely see them late next year or 2026.
I doubt we’re getting F-35s next year.
The Meteor can be used on the Typhoon, at least the British one iirc.
Typhoons will just use AIM-120s.
Weapons like Meteor are entirely reliant on stealth tech for balancing.
Without stealth, Meteor can’t be added.
Meteor below stealth BRs would just kill the game mode.
That or “no escape range” is a lie told to us by manufacturers.
Personally disagree, they work like any other fox-3. But you’re entitled to your opinion.
AESA radars + no-escape ranges, no where close to any other ARH.
We’re quite close, we’re getting a proper PESA this update, game will be ready soon I bet.
That’s not how that works.
“We have AIM-9Bs, that must mean we’re getting AIM-9Xs next year.” is not the line of thought you should be having.
But you totally know how it works and when we’ll get AESA and Meteors, gotcha.
I know the frequency swapping AESA radars have in the missiles that house them.
I also trust the “no escape range” claim.
We don’t need those weapons, not even stealth needs those weapons.
We can be on AIM-120C for the next 2 years and be just fine, even when the first F-35s are added.
Well, I’ll be chilling when R-37M comes then.
I mean depends on how things are modeled we are getting way too modern like these are literally in large scale service in 2010s if not in the past 5 years. There is ZERO ACCURATE DATA on these things, so either add R37, PL15/17 and Meteor and manually balance them like ARH Rn, or don’t add them at all.
I am 100% content living in War Thunder with R-77-1, AIM-120C, and so forth being the maximum missiles we see.
AIM-120C is the currently housed missile in most F-35s at this time anyway, and AIM-120 is the series of ARH missiles F-22 is exclusively compatible with at this time.
Of course I do think we might get into that era of weaponry, I just think that it’s further away than F-35.
Yeah, and things like PL15 with propaganda is like 150-300km range, like which one is real. For example, PL12 is considered AIM120 C competitor, yet in game RN it can barely compete with the A variant, then getting to these even more advanced stuff manual balancing is almost the only option…

Thing is, they might be compatible, but trying to prove that to Gaijing is hell of a lot of work. Just like most things in WT that are wrong ATM
