This doesn’t work for decorators like the pillows, as they do not have a fictional tag assigned to them.
There’s no way to hide them.

I think they should add a tag to decorations and allow some to be turned off, but only if bushes are classified as fictional.
There are 6 body pillows, and I don’t think there are any Vtuber decals. This is just a consequence of the weeb and military history community having substantial overlap.

Game hasn’t been about military vehicles and their history since like… 2022 or earlier when they started gutting air rb of its uniqueness related to historical elements.

The touch that brought me to the game left in the updates following the original F-16A.
I can not imagine coming to this game now in it’s current state. For me coming to play after watching YouTubers for some years was perfect back in 2017-18. I don’t even know how people get into this game nowadays, the days of phly and blitz, baronvongames, etc is over.
Still play the game though and can’t imagine not playing it, it’s like a bad addiction nowadays though.
At least I’m not spending that much money on WT anymore

Stories like these are part of every game, and they always will be.
A player comes to the game, likes it, is happy with everything, and then gets bored and starts saying that it used to be better. Even though nothing has changed.
Trust me, people said this before you, and they’ll say it after you too. And the game will stay the same.

They do have fictional tag, they used to not. I took all mine off my funny vics when they added the tag.
Good, because applying fiction to decorations would be controversial, especially when almost all of them have been used or thought of being used on tanks.

The issue is when pillows are correctly labeled historical and that annoys people that don’t know history.
Or they’re labeled fiction which annoys the history buffs.
I have ‘except fictional’ on all my settings, yet I still see pillows every battle.

Though, tbf, I do also think I’m experiencing something of a bug in this regard.
There have been many instances where, in a battle, I’ll notice a fictional decal I should not in theory be seeing, check my settings, and for whatever reason the game just decided to change itself back to show all.
I then change it back to except fictional, check it’s still that it hangar, and when I join another battle it just magically decides to change itself back to show all again.
I tried to troubleshoot this, by removing any and all fictional stuff from my own vehicle (thinking maybe if I was using them - it would turn the setting back on for others), but even doing that, the setting still keeps changing on its own.
It oddly only ever happens to the realistic option. AB / Sim never does this.

How odd. Yeah. I’m definitely just bugged then haha.
I did actually notice once, there was a guy in front of me covered in pillows, I checked my settings and sure enough they changed on their own again, I changed it back to except fictional as he was still in front of me, yet even after doing that I still seen the pillows.
I wonder if that just means the setting doesn’t update mid game, or if I’m just ultra bugged here lol.
Could try the nuclear option of reinstalling the game

Think I may have to try that. Something is clearly very wrong if I see this stuff constantly, and you don’t, with the same setting as me.

The game was never better,
The game was never that good even.
It’s always that…it has potential and that is the only game in the market of that type.
That’s the same with when it started.
Stale is the word.
Maps/Game modes/Gameplay… they don’t do crap, they just add the next crap to grind.
Yes of course they bring new mechanics in vehicles etc.
But they lack on the basics and gameplay anyway. That was always the case, not now…
Now we just have the stuff we dreamed of and we are realizing that the gameplay is THE SAME from the time we first played in 2013.

About ^friends^ of history… yeah, that’s the thing with this game …you may start with no clue in history and as soon you see the vehicles , you start wonder , you start searching. Then because of the nature of these vehicles history ^kicks in^.
But no you don’t have to be ^into history^ in the first place…
In general the game is stale… not better , that’s why you see many people get disappointed .
Even the ^historical^ stuff… was there , it got cut off. No reason. You’d just have another extra event every week , that had some kind of historical matchup in a historical location.
Why cut it?
It’s not about history , it’s about having options.
And GJ in the gameplay variety/options department is something like NK hairstyle options…

Oh that, yeah that’s true. I normally see “happy new year”, a wizards hat, or maybe a motorcycle on a player’s tank. I think I might have seen the body pillow once in the past 6 months that I recall but it’s mostly the stupid eyes that people use. I thought there was a way to disable the decals or maybe I’m just dense?

Today, a new player will join the game, and in a couple of years, he’ll be saying the same thing. The game today will be the best choice for him, and he’ll love everything you’re criticizing now.
