Is TK’ing ever ok?

That would be justified, but the player would be kicked after 2 TKs anyways.

If it were me, TKing the TKer may have been my first intentional TK (allegedly). I may have perceived them as a threat to the team and acted.
I may just feel bad about it coming to that. 😉

No.

I like how TK problem was solved in another game, if you kill an ally - your nickname will be bright cyan for some matches, allowing teammates to kill you without any punishment.
Hope something like this will be implemented because im tired of 40% winrate kids who are trying to kill me for any bullshit reason imaginable.

I like the idea of this. However I will say openly my win rate does suck.

TK’ing should earn you a permanent “Dunce” title and the ability for teammates to take you out without a penalty for the first match, yes.

Thank you for being honest. I wish there was a better mechanism in place to prevent it.

Not a permanent once since accidental TKs exist. If it is a persistent issue, then maybe something like that could be added.

I still think bans are more effective.

Absolutely, the internal tracker that should ultimately decide if you should earn the title, but specially for nuke team killers, honestly the biggest offense in this game, it happens way too often and it’s not punished enough.

But to be honest, it’s probably not a good idea, I can already see the TK’ing clowns speed running to earn the title… Unless they get a chance to get perma banned that would be hilarious.

If someone attempts to TK you, you should be able to TK them in return imo, team killing is a rather bad show of character, but there are some reasonings I can get behind.

There are certain cases where i understand.

However, ToS wise, it is never okay.

A feedback from a Game Master out of the pinned thread:

Maybe not a permanent title, but I would like a teamkilling medal tbh 😂😂😂

In the eyes of Gaijin, inconsistent, some say yes, and some say no. Some overall say to both. In terms of moderation no.

In terms of morality, absolutely. You really shouldn’t do it, however, at this point despite what the rules are. If Gaijin wanted people to STOP, they should seriously find a better solution to tackle it. The only reason people did TKing was because they stole kills. Mind you, this is still a VISUALIZED GAME made by pixels on a screen.

However, just going by what some other games have done, Tking is never incentivized primary reward usually goes to the main person, while the secondary reward goes to the second person. So even if the second person STOLE the kill, you would still be rewarded for the most damage.

Now Gaijin has made an ATTEMPT at tackling this issue. HOWEVER its very VERY inconsistent. I don’t know if this is due to the Spaghetti coding or the 19-year-old game engine on which this game is running. (2005, 2009 might have been when the engine was released however the game engine was being worked on in 2005, so it is by all means Nineteen years of age).

(Just wanna state, that I’m putting my thoughts, not facts, some parts are factual based on human observation of players’ attitudes and WT Spaghetti coding->Which I mention and are factual with 12 years of proof to back this statement. Including my own, which is precisely 7 years, 5 months, and 15 days. I kind of wished I got the Veteran decals and not have to keep being active 24/7 via the daily crates.

I think it’s OK if its a revenge TK lol I have had shitheads teammate use CAS to kill me in my SPAA, I just respawn then ignore everything else and go after his dumb ass lol

Are you a coder, or do you even comprehend the mechanics in the backend in any form to even pass judgement that it’s spaghetti coding other than it being a funny thing to say because you seen it said somewhere else?

Yea, it’s not… Not that it’s 2 wrongs don’t make a right, but it’s a bad example to set because others will see it happen, then think it’s fine to do it because you did it.

Personally, once in a while if some one is in your squad, while in discord, while knowing each other and have a banter for a haha funny, sure. But even then, once in a while.

For everyone else you never know what kind of a day someone has been having and ultimate they come to play a game to have fun and not for their own team to ruin it for them.

TK’ing a TK the amount of TK’ers stay the same.
