For top tier soviet jets and chinese jets, I find the tall green radar box very hard to use. Is there anyway to switch to HMD without cycling through the tall green radar box? Thanks.

When your radar is turned off you can switch instantly to the hmd by pressing your lock target button
Yeah, i turn my radar off before cresting a mountain to sneak up with R27’s on people, works quite well
So…
Choice A) Cycle through ACM into HMD hoping not to sang something in the ACM mode
Choice B) Switch your radar off and then toggle between radar modes to enable HMD Mode.
Both seem like a total faf to me and not what is needed which is a “press this button for HMD mode no matter what” and that is what OP is probably asking for
Heck, to be brutally honest, they should have keybind options for jumping immediately to ANY radar mode. Using the trick where setting 2 things to the same keybind like that would toggle between them (works with camera modes) I’d immediately set one up for toggling between TWS and TWS GMTI.
