Is there any real difference between Mirage 2000 CS-4 and CS-5?

Or is it blatant pay2win? They have the same radar, engine, loadout, RWR and more. I did notice that the CS-5 has MAW, but does that even warrant a 0.3 BR difference?

Fellas is it pay2win if the better variant is in the tech tree, free to unlock?

No, they bumped up the version to sell it again. Kinda what Apple does every year.

Not better when it comes with a 0.3 BR increase. For instance, it’s locked out of the 12.3 BR bracket in SB, which is the mode I like to play the most.

Yeah, except it’s 99% the same thing but at a lower BR and can only be accessed for real money. The difference between these two is much less than say F18C Early and the Swiss F18, or MiG 23 MLD to any other MiG 23, F4S versus any other 12.0 Phantom, yet they all share the same BR with their peers.

Played either of those yet, or…?

guys i wonder what the difference is

Didn’t notice that it had that number of countermeasures, thanks. If that alone warrants a BR increase, there is obviously a bias towards paid vehicles as this standard is not upheld consistently at all.
Going back to what I said in my post, pay2win stuff.

wait until you find out the difference between the Mirage 3C and Mirage 3E

also the MAW and CM count warrants a BR increase

Yeah I know, it’s a little bit BS too since at 10.3 you have the better MiG 21 SMT or MF with more countermeasures and more (while similar) missiles.
Anyways, I would be fine with it if that standard wasn’t non-existant for premium aircraft like Swiss F18 which has a better engine and double the countermeasures, or MLD that has a better RWR and slats, or F4S with better IR missiles and performance.
It is what it is I guess but it definitely doesn’t make much sense based on what we can see in other vehicles (or rather, it makes sense that paid vehicles are favored).

the Mirage 2000C S4 is a worse plane

so it sits at a lower BR
it is as simple as that

non of your examples are at a lower BR than their tech tree equivalent

also the MLD is in the tech tree and not a premium

Mig-21SMT has a better engine than the Mig-21MF btw while being heavier so the FM equals out more or less, they also have the exact same loadouts

First of all, CS4 does have countermeasures, so let’s not pretend you are comparing apples to apples. There’s no example of a BR increase based on having more countermeasures when compared to another vehicle that already has countermeasures.
Second, F104G is able to take out bases while F104J, and Gaijin does take that into consideration for BR placement.

hello?

the MAW?

and there is very much a difference 34 CMs and 162 CMs

a difference of over 4 times btw

Well it’s technically worse because of less countermeasures, but that standard is not upheld consistently. There’s tons of other aircraft that shame BR with other versions of the same frame but with different engines and loadouts that share BR, like Sabres, MiG 21, etc.

I am comparing other aircraft that have much bigger differences while keeping the same BR. The F18 Swiss is one the premium examples, the rest yeah are normal TT examples of there not being any logic to this.

you arent

120 CMs / 60 CMs = 2

162 CMs / 34 = ~4.76

also the swiss hornet is heavier than the US one which makes its FM tank

Yeah and? Most of that is chaff, which you can spam all you want but it ain’t working very well on PD radars at that BR. The american premium harrier also has double the countermeasures compared to the other Aim 9G harrierw peers, still cannot see the logic.
