Any ideas why? Like we have the BTR-80 currently which I’m pretty sure both it and the LAV-25 were made around the same time ( just 1 year apart of each other ) and both were made for the same role. It’s kinda weird that we have the BTR-80 but no LAV-25 but somehow the LAV AA version is here for quite a bit and it came sooner than the IFV version. Would have been cool to add the first/early version of the LAV-25 with the BTR-80 and for when the BTR-82/90 comes , the LAV-25 with the ATGM Launcher also.
It would be really good addition to the HSTV-L/Bradley line right after the M3A2 Bradley (My suggestion).
Still having hope for it for an marines/navy like update for the game.
I think it wasn’t really accepted to addition, but it’s no doubt that there are suggestions for the vehicle. With the upcoming addition of the EFV, we may see more amphibious vehicles, I’m looking for more informations of the BMMP, which is the counterpart of the EFV.
It wasn’t passed to developers. I hope it keep as that, I hate US auto cannons, either they don’t have enough fire rate to compensate the terrible damage or they simply don’t pen despite having high fire rate. It’s like a disease, every single NATO nation in-game has a vehicle with the Bushmaster 30 2.
Besides the usual “it’s American so it will either never be in game, will be massively over-tiered, or massively inaccurate,” I think it’s that they don’t really know how to balance wheeled autocannon vehicles without missiles? It’s just crazy that something like the VBC PT2 (a massive bus without missiles) is a higher BR than something like the the BMP-3, which still gets 82mm pen APDS with ATGMs and 100mm HE.
I mean the LAV-25 had 2 variants. One with an ATGM launcher and one without. I don’t exactly know if the LAV with the ATGM launcher one could work while moving but if the BMP-2M works so can the LAV-25 tbh.
