Is there a way to check why I've been banned?

So I’ve been playing the game for years at this point and I just got a ban for cheating?

The message obviously says something along the lines of botting/modding, but I’ve never even touched that. Yea I know this sounds like some whiny hacker getting banned but if you were to look at my stats I’m not even that good? I haven’t played in about a week (new job)
So is there a way I can get a definitive answer or get into contact? It’s either a mistake due to some of my software (i’m a hobby developer but i’ve never touched EAC or anything like that, I do graphics), or it’s a fraudulent mass report.

I really, really want to stress the importance that I have never touched EAC and never tried to circumvent it. I get angry at this game but I’m not going to spend money on cheating.
I’m a hobby developer, so it could be a mistake, but it could also be a mass report.

Either way, anyone who can help or tries, thank you. This really hurts because I’ve spent a lot of money on the game with premiums and such. I’m also not even that good at the game, so I don’t know why I would be banned for even suspected cheating. As mentioned though, any help will receive a major thanks.

It’s simple because you are cheating

You kids really make me laugh. You get caught hacking and try all the lies you can.
Why can’t you just MAN-UP and admit your mistake.

You got caught - take the punishment and learn - “CHEATS NEVER PROSPER.” That is an old saying that started hundreds of years ago. Cheats get what they deserve, always have. OWN IT.

Posting videos/images/text of players with their name/ID visible and accusing them of cheats is against the community guidelines. It doesn’t matter if you are correct about the statement it is still against:

Regarding an alleged cheater not being banned this wave:

I want to start this by saying: I’m not privy to any behind the scenes information when it comes to how Gaijin handles cheats/hacks. Everything here is generalised on how it usually works.

If the user you reported is using a way to cheat that is new to the team it might take them i while to figure out how to detect it.
They also wouldn’t want to ban the guy immediately as then the makers of the cheat know they have been found and will change things to not get detected, this spares all other users of the same cheat from being banned.
The team would most likely want to figure out how to detect EVERY user of the same cheat and ban them at the same time. this punishes more cheaters over time and makes it harder for the cheat makers to maintain a valid business as a hoard of angry costumers will demand refunds or never buy from them again.

there is a good explanation from someone who knows what they are talking about:

additionally, banning a known cheater immediately also doesn’t help the game long term as it gives the cheat makers time to make a new version that goes undetected again faster as they are made aware of it being detected earlier. This will lead to more cheaters in game overall in the long term as many cheaters would not be banned and just get an update to their cheat and keep playing.

well, it doesn’t change the fact this guy is cheating, I found this guy on social media, and he told me he would not be banned because he changed his name, and all the previous replay is gone, there is no evidence can link him to his past. as long as he doesn’t use cheat anymore, he will get a free pass. we will see about that.

Again, posting about it publicly won’t help anyone and is against the rules.

Just make a report using the in-game complaint system and/or the replay system through the main website, that is the best way to make the DEV’s look at it.

Back to the point though, is there ways of finding people what exactly caused this? Cause I have seen people banned with literally nothing on their PC, as my friend got banned once, and then it was lifted latter. Since no anti-cheat is perfect, I hope people can get a more accurate response on what people are banned exactly for, for example provided by people who have access to that information.

As far as i know support will NEVER tell you exactly what triggered the ban as that would give cheaters and cheat makers information on how to hide the cheat better next time.

What they can most likely do is see exactly how the anti cheat got triggered, what game-files was tampered with to trigger it, how they where tampered with and know if it was a wrongful ban or a legitimate ban.
Action is then taken accordingly when plyers put in their appeals.

Note that this is all general information and NOT information on how Gaijin deals with this.

Ok, thx cause easy anti cheat does ban a lot of cheaters with non cheaters, essentially high efficiency but also it sometimes banns people with similar codes.

i have the same issue i have been banned for a day for exploits but i haven’t played for a month so im confused why?

Please check your accounts login history on the main Gaijin website, if you see strange logins and/or logins you know wasn’t you; immediately change password, enable 2FA and contact support about the issue.

My nephew got banned in the last round. Sad thing is I know he wasn’t cheating and has no idea why he got banned. Only questionable thing we could come up with is that he runs virtual desktops when he plays EQ? He loved the game but won’t come back and spend more money when he can’t “fix” the problem when he doesn’t know what the problem is, to guarantee that he won’t be banned again. I feel your frustration RowlBee.
