Is the XM-1 GM a good purchase?

Purely for the US in specific, probably not. Some people would argue for the Stryker instead, but I honestly don’t really like it personally since its awkward to use, and is really only worth getting as a backup to the KVT. I much prefer the XM-1.

In terms of all premiums across every nation, theres too many to recommend lol. You’d probably have to be more specific. But the main ones that I’d personally consider buying over the XM-1 are the TAM 2IP, Rooikat 105, OF-40 MTCA, and VRCC (if its back, idk if it is yet).

Not really, the 8.7-10.0 range is known for not having much armor at all. I guess the T-80UD has some armor though, its the only GE tank around that BR where you have to aim at least a bit before shooting it to kill it (lfp)

Chally 2s are unfortunately mid. They’ll be in a better spot as soon as the br changes drop though since they won’t be able to see top tier tanks anymore, but I def wouldn’t recommend it as of now. Might be worth picking up in the December sales after seeing how they perform for a while after the BR changes drop

I absolutely, 100% agree. Even using tandem charged missiles with my light tanks, the T-80UD survives more often than anything else at those BR’s.

I can do fine without armor, its just something thats good to have

Hell no mate! This thing will put you through 9 circles of hell!
The only good thing I have to say about it is that this thing will teach you how to play in the harshest way possible. It’s like throwing a baby in a pool to teach it how to swimm. XM punishes you for every mistake and teaches you to never trust your shells. This abomination will reshape your gamestyle in the most unimaginable way possible.
However, if you somehow end up figuring out how to get kills with it, and not just dying or tradin 1 to 1, I can guarantee you will never ever have troubles mastering any other vehicle.

I can only agree, as it is very important that you know how to play at diffrent BRs, as skill cannot be bought.

If you never olayed 11.7 your bought 80$ paxk will feel worthless and like a scam

The 11.7 ones are probably the strongest if you play hull down, the turret armor are outstanding, only issue is slowass but with smoke shells it can get to any positions.
